In a 2 qb league

Recommended Posts

would going qb qb be out of the question if you could get 2 top 5 guys? how about 2 of the top 10? That would leave me picking a rb in round 3. The rbs I see in round 3 in a ppr are at least servicable.

I really don't like picking the same position back to back picks . Unless it's late in the draft .

11th yr 2 qb league; we keep two players rds 1 and 2; 13 kept qbs in total, 2 managers with both keepers as qbs. If you can get two of the top five, jump all over that. Look at the stats from your league last year and see what kind of points the top 10 qbs got, should help make the decision easier.

My main league is a 2-QB league. I work very hard on the line up and the scoring so that each position's scoring and depth is as equal as I can get it. QBs go quickly because you want your third to be at least decent (for byes and injuries), but no one has ever taken QB-QB. Oh for sure they've taken a QB in the first, even 1.1, but I don't think it has worked out well. If you go QB-QB and get two of Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, your RBs and WRs will be too weak to break even, in my league, as the difference between those 2 QBs and their set of RBs/WRs won't match someone who went QB in the 2nd and maybe 4th and got much better RBs and WRs to go with maybe Stafford and Griffin or Ryan. But that's my league.

It always comes down to league setup and scoring. If it's a 2-QB league with 12 teams, grab those QBs! There's not enough to last. If it's 10 teams, they're still tight for a 3rd, but it usually works out well enough if you don't lose a guy for weeks.

I wouldn't might getting "stuck" with luck and ryan from later rounds. Get that RB.

Depends on the other starter spots / league size. I'm in two 2 QB leagues. We start:

League 1: 2 QB / 2 RB / 2 WR / 2 Flex / TE / K / Def. I went RB / WR / WR / RB / RB before grabbing my first QB.

League 2: 2 QB / 3 RB / 6 WR- TE / 2 K / 2 Def. 15 keepers here, so it throws off the draft. Still, concentrating on one position means you're weak elsewhere.

I've gone QB / QB before in the first one, did not work out well at all.

A focking train wreck

I wouldnt call that a train wreck. His top 2 qbs are insane, and he has solid receivers. Bush and chris johnson arent that bad of a rb combo with great players elsewhere. I say this team is a playoff team.

It's a PPR league so he can get by with those RBS but those receivers are bad in my opinion. I expect Peyton to come back to earth so I don't see him as that huge of an advantage over someone like Stafford who I have paired with Romo. I also get to start with Peterson and Murray.

I didnt say his team was the best but i dont think its a train wreck.

Just clarifying. I think PPR factored in the team is worse. The guy doesn't make the playoffs much and was terrible last year.

Ok so lets me more specific. I am playing in a first year league with a superflex position. some guys that will not understand the superflex position will end up going rb rb wr wr like a normal league. Its a 12 team ppr. I was thinking of brees and rogers or stafford in the first 2. Then a rb like ellington and belle in 3 and 4 then wr in 5 6

nothing wrong at all, perfectly viable strategy.

Every league is different and small changes to the settings can make big differences. My 2QB league is ppr but it's also 6pts for all tds, 1pt per 20 yards passing, and there's bonus yardage at 300/400/500yds passing and at 100/150/200yds rushing and receiving. Peyton last year scored nearly 2x as much as Jamaal Charles. QBs can really win you games and can throw up 50 pts by themselves with a solid 400yrd, 4td game.

QBs go really fast in our draft. Last year I believe 13 out of the first 15 picks were QBs and one of the two that didn't was a new guy that took AP #1 overall.

How many teams in your league?

2 QB Leagues are most definitely different than 1 QB leagues.

with 10 teams, everybody has 2 starters and one backup, but the quality of the backup can vary from mediocre to Poor.

in a league like this your strategy can vary a lot depending on where you draft and what has been taken to date.

QB-QB can be a viable option if the draft falls the right way. but it can be a terrible option if it does not.

12 team league and to be honest its not a 2 qb league. its a 1 qb with a superflex option. however i am going to use a 2nd high priced qb in the superflex.
