Justin Forsett? Who's starting him?

Recommended Posts

Undersized, short week vs division rival, better as a change of pace. Has some upside as a flex. Maybe Tuiolofifofo gets the big game this week, who knows.

It's a prime time game against a division rival after a crazy personal week... Either the ravens come out inspired as one team and kill the steelers, or they are drained after dealing with Ray rice all week and fall flat on their face.

I personally think Lebaeu & the Steelers defense are gonna show up big in this game after almost losing to the Browns last week.

Is Gerhart even gonna be healthy enough for the Jags? His knee got pretty twisted by Fletcher Cox on Sunday. Forsett should garner 15 touches this week so I'd play him over Gerhart.

I pray that owners on the leagues I'm apart of pick him up and start or flex him . I really do

Gerhart did play last week post injury so I think he is likely to go.

ppr league, sure.

he looked pretty good last wk.

he has a nice slice waiting for him this wk.

Agree for PPR. I actually watched the game and the offense got a definite boost from Forsett. I can see Baltimore looking for a different option in the future but think they roll with Forsett enough this week to make him flex worthy.

Some stats: Forsett caught 5 balls last week and we know Kubiak loves to throw to the RB. In 33 games, Pierce has just 27 catches versus 266 carries. Pittsburgh was abused on the ground last week by two backup RB. Even if Pierce breaks out of his 17 game slump, Forsett is going to be the third down guy and pull in 4-6 catches.

I picked up Forsett too, but just to roster to see what develops there, Pierce was benched for fumbling, and he doesn't fumble much, so I think they'll be back to Pierce, or split maybe.

Anybody think Taliaferro has a shot at all? Forsett just reminds me of Willis Macgahee last year on the browns and pierce was suppose to be the man for last two years

Look at his historical stats, and then compare his size to Ray Rice size.

Then you wonder... why the hell he never been a feature back? Oh yea, because Seattle traded for Lynch, and then Huston discovered Arian Forster.

Forsett finally getting his chance, he isn't letting it go that easy.

I added him then dropped him for Terrance West. Now I'm thinking of dropping West for Carlos Hyde. Decisions, decisions....

West and Hyde were available? Jees.

I focked myself in an auction keeper league by going after,Forte, stud WR's and my RB lottery tickets for next season (D Freeman, C Hyde and T Mason). I then got outbid on every serviceable RB2 that went on the block after that. I started Hyde last week... so I'll be happily starting Forsett as it's PPR. I don't think 4-5 catches and 50-60 total yards is an unreasonable floor... and I'd be ecstatic with 10 points.

I'm going to give him a shot over Hyde and have both of these guys competing for playing time on my roster.

The people asking why has he not been a starter before are looking at this wrong. I don't think anyone is suggesting he is the kind of talent who will lock up a team's starting RB for years. But outside of the few guys who are true talents, the league is loaded with backs are capable of getting the job done and having fantasy value for a season if provided the right opportunity.

Forsett has averaged 4.9 YPC over his career. Now we all know that YPC as a backup/3rd down back doesn't translate into starting, but it is a good sign. He also has shown to be effective as a receiver and this can be a nice source of production for backs. At this point, unless they bring in somebody, which hasn't happened yet and may take time, if it happens at all, all he needs to do to have some fantasy value is beat out Pierce for reps --and he's off to a good start. Pierce is a guy you have to be skeptical if he would live up to the hype as he has not delivered so far with his chances. You can chose to believe the comments that the fumble was the reason he was benched, and undoubtedly it was the catalyst, but let's face it, if they were happy enough with Pierce to begin with he would not have been one fumble away from taking a seat. The door was already somewhat open for Forsett, and so far so good.

I remember the last game of the 2009 season, where Houston was starting an unknown 7th round draft pick at RB named Adrian Foster. After Foster put the ball on the ground on like his third carry Kubiak buried him on the bench. Of course next year Foster exploded on the league.

Just wondering what Kubiaks role and influence is here.

God doesn't care for those kinds of prayers. A deeply religious being such as yourself should know that.

Likely rolling him out in a 1RB/1WR/4 flex dynasty league. I like the matchup and think now is the time to use him if you have him. Obviously he's a wait and see if you have far better options and picked him up for depth.

10-team league, and very few teams seem to be making any roster moves. Sort of boring. Anyway, I love Hyde but right now West is in a better position to produce. Should Gore go down, Hyde will immediately move up to RB1 level of production, however.

Anyone starting Forsett tonight? Its either him or gerhart, or MJD...thinking Forsett

Set it and Forsett about it...

The rationale for why they won't be using Justin more heavily is questionable to me... He is productive and a good fit for the offense. Pierce is a hammer ala Gio Bernard/Jordan Hill.... He has alot of talent but was behind Marshawn Lynch and Arian Foster his whole career...

Watch them roll out Pierce for 20+ carries tonight.

I'm thinking there's going to be some really pissed off owners by tomorrow or a bunch of over-zealous Forsett owners celebrating.

I used up alot of BB dollars to get him but just can't start him over Hyde, A. Morris. or L. Bell. I would start him over Morris but Morris has a nice match up this week.

He got me 6 pts... That's what v-jax and Allen combined for last week... So as a flex player over Allen vs the Seahawks, I'm happy with that. If they had ruled that run a touchdown I don't think it would have been overturned on review and he would have gotten 12 pts.

You should always have low expectations. That way you have less disappointments in life.
