Belushi 9 Posted October 8, 2014 Saw this Rotoworld article about Sporano focusing more on the run, and McFadden being the lead back. He's on waivers in my league. Is he worth a stash as an RB3/4? http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4649/darren-mcfadden
barber2309 26 Posted October 8, 2014 Depends on your team, but McFadden is generally a waste of a roster spot at this point.

Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted October 8, 2014 "This should benefit Darren McFadden, who drew the start in Week 4. Maurice Jones-Drew has nothing left. McFadden got the start in Week 4 and out-snapped MJD 46-17." Rotoworld is so full of it. If MJD have nothing left, then McFadden is dead.
ffrookie312 0 Posted October 8, 2014 I just shipped him out for Gordon. Hoping/Banking I make the playoffs at 3-
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,044 Posted October 8, 2014 Mcfadden in PPR is definitely in the RB2/Flex discussion since MJD got hurt week 1, Mcfadden has posted 14.8, 10.5, 11.2, better and more consistent than quite a few backs during that time.

Rotoworld is so full of it. If MJD have nothing left, then McFadden is dead. Well, I've got Storm Johnson on my bench (mostly because I like his name). I was thinking McFadden may be better for that spot. If MJD isn't getting touches, McFadden is a 3 down back (on an awful team). If the Raiders start to go more run-heavy, maybe McFadden puts up enough points in a PPR league to be a flex play? I'm not dropping Lacy for him, but there's not allot of starting RBs getting 10-20 touches/game on waivers.

Same stats in my PPR league. He's also available for me, thinking about grabbing him. I need to drop a defense, have Broncos (ranked 31st) and Bills (ranked 3rd) currently. Do I drop Broncos (even though they have a good matchup) for McFadden?

RaiderHaters Revenge 4,044 Posted October 9, 2014 Who does he play for again? Right. No he has no value. Stay away from Oakland players. so a guy who is averaging 12 ppg over his 3 starts, should be on the wire? Not a chance imo, I wish he was available in my leagues, I'd take him over the following shitty guys Gerhart, S. Johnson, D. Robinson CJ Spiller S.Greene, Bishop Sankey R.Hillman, CJ Anderson, Thompson Hyde Martin, Rainey C. Johnson T. Richardson so there you have 14 guys, who at least 10 are likely rostered in every league, and outside of Martin, I would take Mcfadden right now over any of them
sta 5 Posted October 9, 2014 He is on the waiver wire in my PPR league and I am thinking about picking him up and starting him over CJ Spiller....my RB's are awful

If Denver can get a lead and get their run game going, whatever RB gets the bulk of those carries could be valuable.

If Denver can get a lead and get their run game going, whatever RB gets the bulk of those carries could be valuable. I could be wrong, but I'm really not getting the hype for Hillman. He's had plenty of opportunities and wasted them, despite being on a great offence. This isn't some rookie who's potential we don't know about. And he'll be splitting touches with one or two other RBs, and they are more likely to get the goal-line carries. I prefer McFadden to Hillman. MJD isn't getting many touches, and no one seems sold on Murray.
ramz04 21 Posted October 14, 2014 He is on the waiver wire in my PPR league and I am thinking about picking him up and starting him over CJ Spiller....my RB's are awful I'm just traded Brandin Cooks for DMC in a PPR league and he will slide in my RB2 slot and push Spiller to bench until F-Jax gets hurt. I think people are sleeping on DMC a bit. They finally have a QB who can move the ball, the O-line is the best it's been in years (which still isn't saying much) and Sparano runs a well balanced attack that will only benefit DMC. I think DMC is a lower end RB2/Flex in PPR leagues and is a nice trade target for the Ball, Sproles and Spiller owners who more than likely can get him on the cheap. Anyone else agree?
DaBeerz 88 Posted October 14, 2014 He's owned in my league, so yeah I guess he has value.

murf74 461 Posted October 15, 2014 New coach showed promise against tough team. Also shows he wanted DMac as lead Why not? He has injury history but this is a waiver flier not a high draft pick like everyone used to waste
Matt Mueller 146 Posted October 15, 2014 Value to me. I flexed him and spot Rb2 started him. Fine output.
tigeru 65 Posted October 15, 2014 May as well drop Asiata for him
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 15, 2014 Just scooped him up, dropped Taliaferro. About as high upside as you can expect for a 4th or 5th RB. With Jennings and Ball hurt I need all the depth I can get.
DaDanimal 2 Posted October 15, 2014 Scooped him off the wire...I have a feeling my Lamar Miller as a solid flex is about to be done. Thanks Knowshon. I just sent DMC and Deandre Hopkins to the last place team (who was starting CJ2k and Helu at RB with MJD and Mark Ingram on the bench) for Julio Jones and KaDeem Carey. I look at it as I picked up KaDeem off the wire and traded Hopkins for Julio.

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 15, 2014 I have Taliaferro on the bench still.. Maybe a waste of time I get Forsett, but I have no damn clue why Pierce got so many more carries. I like Tali, just not his situation.
SaintsInDome2006 211 Posted October 16, 2014 I get Forsett, but I have no damn clue why Pierce got so many more carries. I like Tali, just not his situation. Pierce was used as the closer in a blowout, nearly all of his carries came in the 2nd half while Forsett mostly rested. Forsett got nearly everything 1st half. SaintsInDome2006 211 Posted October 16, 2014 Problem with McFadden is the Raiders rarely get near the red zone. Only 10 red zone RB carries all year so far.
