You do know that different fantasy leagues have different scoring, right? And that the sports page doesn't list the scoring for your fantasy league, right?

 

Wait...you know we're talking about *fantasy football* here, right? Not real football? So looking up the sports page won't tell me what a particular league's results are? If you don't know that...okay, see, the game we play is called fantasy football. We 'draft' players from real teams, and we get points based on their personal performances. It all depends on your league's scoring.

 

And you are claiming that your league has seven backs scoring higher than Ivory, yet you can't manage to list them by name.

 

And really, if you're going to continue trying, you should at least be able to do more than just repeat everything I say to you. The only original thing you've said here is about being drunk, which while off base in a way a 14 year old can't grasp, at least wasn't something I had first said about you. Not that I've paid too much attention to this thread but I don't recall anyone saying Ivory was the third best RB in the NFL. So maybe tone down the insults if you're gonna struggle with reading and what not.

 

Ivory is the 4th ranked back in my league by the way. Standard scoring where TDs are 6pts and every single yard is counted. Dude has had a very good year overall. On a game by game basis he's been hit or miss though.

Is it that you can't count too, or is it the reading of their names? Or have you not figured out how to rank them by points scored? That's a really tricky thing for a little kid to do.

Again, I am not saying Ivory is 'better', by whatever standard you seem to be thinking. I'm saying he's scored more points in many (most) scoring systems than a number of those guys, yeah.

 

Let's see...even updating the league I've been talking about for yesterday's performances, which did drop Ivory down to 5th (now below Freeman, AD, Ingram, and Martin), your league also ranks him below Rawls, Jamal, Leveon, and Murray.

 

Rawls (26th in my main league): 786 rushing, 4 TDs, 9/76/1 receiving.

Jamal (44th in my league, seeing as he's been out a while now): 364/4 rushing, 21/177/1 receiving.

Leveon (32nd in my league, injury too): 556/3 and 26/136/0.

Murray (not sure which one you mean, given that your scoring system has a guy who's been injured for weeks still in the top eight, but I'm assuming you mean L. Murray, 7th in my league): 851/5 and 31/167/0.

 

Now I know that there are all sorts of little scoring quirks that aren't the main stats. Things like tackles off interceptions, fractional points for carries, yardage bonuses, things like that. But your league has all of those guys above

 

Ivory: 813/7 rushing, 24/202/1 receiving.

 

Here are their combined yardage and score numbers:

 

Rawls: 862/5

Jamal: 541/5

Leveon: 692/3

L. Murray: 1018/5

 

Ivory: 1015/8

Even average per game in terms of yardage and TDs, Ivory has Ingram, McCoy, Martin, Murray, and Rawls beat. And I'm not talking fantasy points, I'm talking straight up NFL yardage/scoring stats.

 

So it's funny that he's ranked below all those guys in your league. Where are their extra points coming from? He's averaging right around AD/Martin/McCoy range for catches if you're a PPR, in case you're wondering.

What do you mean by 'better'? Better for a fantasy team to own? Better for an NFL team to roster? Better to watch?

 

What I think, what I've been saying all along, is that Ivory has scored more points. Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?

 

Here's a hint: in fantasy football, you want to score more points than other teams. You do this by rostering players that score more points than their players. Your concept, apparently, is to roster players who score fewer points, because they are 'better' in some way than a guy who is scoring more points. Genius.

 

Hey, look: if your league really has Ivory ranked lower than Jamal Charles and Leveon Bell, still, weeks after they haven't been scoring points at all, by all means, start Bell and Charles for the rest of your season. LOL.

I think you are far off if you think Ivory is trash. He is a top 10 scoring RB in my league's scoring system. He is #6 overall RB according to fftoday RB consistency calculator. I get that he has had up and down games. That is kind of how it works with most running backs. Name 10 running backs that have been better this year? Can't do it! He might not be the fantasy MVP for 2015 but if you drafted him in the 4th-5th round where his ADP was last August your team should be doing pretty well playing him as a RB2/flex.
