They are in the hunt for a playoff spot. Rooting for him to get them to the playoffs and sign a deal with a new team. The Broncos need a QB. All they have is a pile of sh1t wearing a helmet. White was highly touted out of WKU but ended up drafted by the Cowboys which was a bad place to be. Then they cut him and no one thought him worthy. Texans could use him but they will probably draft the next russell wilson.

WhiteWonder 2,478 Posted November 28, 2022 Yes, Mike White will continue to start, although I have had my suspicions that some in the organization are assuming he will turn into a pumpkin, as he did quickly in 2021, especially with games coming up against the Vikings and Bills and it will be the easy way to get Zach Wilson back on the field. As a fan, I hope i'm wrong and he runs away with the job but lets be honest... he had a chance to show what he could do last season. Everyone remembers the 400 yard game against the Bengals but forgets he was 1-2 as the starter with 5 TDs and 8 INTs. Yeah, it's a small sample size but there's been no reason to think he is anyone's franchise QB. 300 yards 3 scores with no picks was very impressive. I liked what I saw, even if it was against the Bears. So I hope he keeps the job, the Jets make the playoffs and the fan base can be happy but I sort of expect to see Jimmy G in green next year. The problem in the NFL is that if you are not a 1st round pick, you rarely get to become Kurt Warner. The 1st round bust gets to keep flinging INTs and making bad decisions, game after game. If you are a running QB, you can mask your ineptitude early in your career, RG3 among others. It is infinitely harder to play drop back NFL QB than it is to take off running after the 1st read. It takes time to master being a drop back passer. Anyone with some speed can be a QB that takes off running. Look how long it has taken Geno and he's got some coaches that are playing to his strengths. The late round pick gets 1 shot and if he has 1 bad game, it's over. Gardner Minshew should be starting in the NFL.

I am very familiar with Geno who was a space cadet when the Jets drafted him. I believe his situation is one of simple maturity and the luck to get another shot after 9-10 years in the league. Of course the 1st round bust gets to keep flinging it because he cost the franchise more, both in terms of $$ and opportunity cost. I watched Mike White in person. The performance on the field doesn't suggest franchise QB... but I understand he just started his 4th game in the NFL. I am more than willing to see what we have in him. As much as I am not a fan of Zach Wilson, I think people forget that he has only started 20 games in the NFL. From a games played/started standpoint, he is basically just starting off his 2nd season and he did not get the benefit of learning behind some solid veteran guys like Mike White maybe got to do and like Geno got to do with the Giants and Seahawks. I'm not beating the drum for anyone. I think the Jets are in a tough situation with all the young talent they have coming together right now. Knowing this organization and Woody Johnson, I fully expect Jimmy G (and lord I hope not Derek Carr) to be starting in 2023 with Zach Wilson behind them. cmh6476 918 Posted November 17 https://thejetpress.com/ny-jets-accidentally-lose-starting-kicker-spencer-shrader-boneheaded-mistake-01jcpbnqm0cj If you needed any further evidence that the NY Jets organization has phoned it in on the 2024 season, look no further than the latest dilemma surrounding the team's kicker position. The Jets have used three different kickers over the last three weeks, but their latest solution for the position, undrafted rookie Spencer Shrader, seemed to look the part in his team debut on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Shrader was responsible for all six Jets points, connecting on both of his field-goal attempts, including one from 45 yards out. It was only the second kick from longer than 40 yards a Jets kicker had made this season. The expectation was that Shrader would remain the Jets' kicker moving forward, but that won't be the case. That's not because the Jets decided to move on. Instead, a boneheaded oversight on the part of the front office led to Shrader being signed away by another team before his second game with the Jets. The Kansas City Chiefs officially signed Shrader off the Jets' practice squad on Thursday following an injury to Harrison Butker. With Butker headed for injured reserve, Shrader will now be the kicker for the undefeated reigning Super Bowl champions for at least the next month. The Jets elevated Shrader to the active roster ahead of their Week 10 game but failed to sign him to the 53-man roster after the game. The team had an open roster spot too, one they used to claim backup offensive lineman Connor McGovern off waivers. The Jets reportedly offered Shrader a spot on their 53-man roster after the Chiefs came calling, but by that point, it was too late. The former Notre Dame standout made the relatively easy decision to join the best team in the NFL instead of remaining with the Jets. Of course, the Jets could have signed their new starting kicker to the 53-man roster after the game, thus preventing other teams from being able to poach him. Given the Jets' struggles to find a reliable kicker this season, one would think that would be a top priority.

I was actually hoping they would keep Douglas and hire a new coach (Ben Johnson?) ORRRRR , yes, I would be all for a Rex Ryan reunion. I think hes been away from the game just long enough that it hasn't passed him by and his message would be fresh for younger players. I'd also expect Bart Scott on his defensive staff... then focus on hiring a legitimate offensive coordinator. Douglas has made some poor moves (Zach Wilson, not having a veteran backup in 2023, not having better line depth) but hes also made some good moves (Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Jermaine Johnson, Will McDonald looks good too. Signing Quincy Williams and DJ Reed, focusing on the offensive line for 2024, including Fashanu) I don't care if Rodgers comes back. I want to see how Jordan Travis looks next offseason and if Rodgers doesn't come back, I want a veteran signing to let Travis develop. But the biggest issue with this team is Woody Johnson. Be it Brett Favre, Tim Tebow, Firing the GM (Tannenbaum) and keeping the coach (Rex) which rarely works when a new GM wants his own guy, seeming to care more about his ambassador role than the Jets, bending over backwards for Rodgers, etc.... I wish he would sell the team.

Gepetto 1,192 Posted November 20 https://www.yahoo.com/sports/jets-owner-woody-johnson-reportedly-025645145.html "According to those sources, the day after the Jets’ loss to the Denver Broncos on Sept. 29, there was a contentious meeting at the team facility," the report read. "It included [Woody] Johnson, [Joe] Douglas, vice chairman Christopher Johnson, team president Hymie Elhai, and Ira Akselrad, an advisor to Johnson. It also included a group of coaches: then-head coach Robert Saleh, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, then-defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich and special teams coordinator Brant Boyer among them. The coaches had been called in to explain what happened with their units during the 10-9 home loss to the Broncos. During the meeting, [Woody] Johnson suggested to the coaches that they bench Aaron Rodgers in favor of Tyrod Taylor because he felt Rodgers’ performance was holding the team back. "The coaches and Douglas, stunned at the suggestion, talked him out of it and convinced Johnson to stay the course and that benching Rodgers, with his pedigree, four games into the season would not sit well with the locker room. The coaches also felt it would embarrass Rodgers. The idea of benching the future Hall of Famer sounded so absurd that one coach asked whether the owner was serious — multiple sources from that meeting believed he was." cmh6476 918 Posted Thursday at 02:59 PM holy fock! https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6005485/2024/12/19/jets-jerry-jeudy-trade-madden-woody-johnson/ Quote By Zack Rosenblatt, Michael Silver and Dianna Russini The New York Jets were nearing the finish line on a deal to acquire wide receiver Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos last offseason, but the trade fell apart when Jets owner Woody Johnson nixed the idea over Jeudy’s player rating in the “Madden NFL” video game, according to multiple team and league sources. The proposed Jeudy trade wasn’t the only time Johnson cited “Madden” ratings when evaluating players, according to the source. The owner pushed back on signing free-agent guard John Simpson in the offseason due to his “awareness” rating in the video game. The Jets signed Simpson anyway, and he has had a solid season. To some, the reference to the video game ratings is a sign of Johnson allowing his teenage sons, Brick and Jack, to influence the franchise. “When we’re discussing things, you’ll hear Woody cite something that Brick or Jack read online that’s being weighed equally against whatever opinion someone else in the department has,” said one Jets executive. Current and former players and coaches have also said Brick and Jack have brought friends — male and female — into the locker room, where Woody Johnson, his wife, Suzanne Ircha Johnson, and his sons have criticized players. In another instance, on Halloween night this season, Rodgers entered the locker room with a game ball prepared to be given to interim coach Jeff Ulbrich, who just recorded his first win. Instead, Brick Johnson took it upon himself to award a game ball to wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Woody Johnson then gave Ulbrich the ball Rodgers had been holding. Multiple players said the energy felt drained out of the room. “It was the most awkward, cringe-worthy, brutal experience,” one player said. just sell the team already. Key points about boosting player ratings in Madden: Playing well consistently: The most important factor is to consistently perform well with a player in-game, as their rating will gradually increase based on their on-field achievements. Focus on key stats: Depending on the player's position, focus on achieving high numbers in relevant stats like tackles, interceptions, passing yards, rushing yards, and touchdowns. Franchise mode adjustments: In franchise mode, you can manually adjust player ratings if you have commissioner access, allowing you to give a player a boost based on your assessment of their performance. Game difficulty: Playing on a higher difficulty can potentially lead to bigger rating increases for your players, as the competition is tougher.
