I have stocks tied to blue chip companies that I have held onto for years and will continue to do so. But they’re not volatile. I’m not looking to make a fast buck, just want my money to be safe with perhaps a little more interest than a money market account would give me. I don’t understand Crypto (which is why I started a thread asking about it) but it seems very flashy and very risky.

I'm curious as to why you'd recommend holding the asset, but not the company who owns a bunch of it ? I've heard people state the same thing regarding investing in gold. Better to hold the actual asset yourself, rather than owning it via a mutual fund, or ETF. Things could change quickly, but I hate to sell something that’s worked so well. MSTR one-year return is 755% while bitcoin is 163% If it ain't broke, don't fix it ? One thing that concerns me is the performance of MicroStrategy itself. The underlying business (sans the bitcoin holdings) hasn't been doing anything special for a long time. Lastly, the shares of MSTR only account for 1.67% of my taxable account. Luckily for me, my working/earning/saving years are past, & I'm not looking to get rich off crypto, just like the excitement of participating. I look at it like I do meme coins and other crypto. Do I want to hold doge or do I want to hold the ETH it's running on. Do I want to hold dogwifhat or do I want to hold the SOL it runs on. Saylor has been amazing for the community. He is one of bitcoin's biggest proponents. But he's not going to be around forever things can change his company can change what happens to mstr if he died tomorrow. Or if there was a hostile takeover from the board where he got sick or a million other things that can happen. His company is where it's at because of Bitcoin Bitcoin does not get sick Bitcoin can't die so looking at it from that perspective I would rather hold the object that launched him into great success rather than his company. And I'm not saying mstr is a bad hold. It's probably going to be the top company as far as value goes eventually. But again that's because of Bitcoin not because of what the company actually does. What's the saying about the gold rush? The only people who got rich are the ones selling the shovels but I say fock that. I would rather manufacturer the shovels.

Basically when BTC hits X9 they sell. When it hits X1or X0 they buy. Looking at price action that's a winning strat IMO. Right now that might be tough in the banana zone and the following down trend. But year I'd buy back in at 91 or 90, We know it's going to 140+ so don't miss the train.

Transfer money from your bank account to that account, and just buy from whatever coins they deal in, which should be a hundred plus different ones. Their apps are easy to use, but there are fees involved like less than 1 percent in each trade. SOL is still good.

BiPolarBear 479 Posted November 28 On the NYSE, I have PLTR, SOFI, and COHR long term. These were all moonshots. One thing they have in common is that they are all US based. I got into crypto and bought some older projects based in the US: HBAR, ALGO, and ADA. Now Trump wants to promote US base crypto and has proposed having 4 US based cryptos trade with no capital gains taxes. I slopped into owning 3 of the 4 coins, lol. This is my first crypto bullrun. I know I have to take profits and not watch the values of my holdings tank. In general terms, I think crypto will enjoy far wider adoption in the near term. Governments are adopting and Whales are loading up.
Frozenbeernuts 1,883 Posted December 2 Bought $DEAL at about 90k market cap last week. Currently sitting at 415k. Getting some solid insider info on coins. The meme coin market isn't doing great right now so I'm not crushing it yet like I had hoped, but I have a few that have run up nicely. Sold half my bag once I tripled my investment. Sitting on the rest for now. When it doubles from here I will be taking a little more off the table. $OMEGA is going to have a great run. Bought in initially at 5 mil mc. Ran up over 50 at one point. Sitting at 21mil now which is a good buy point imo. I round tripped $KOTO. Bought at 6mil. Ran to 18. Didn't take profit and now it's below my initial buy. I plan to scoop some more eventually. The guy running it is tied to Elon somehow. I am waiting with a nice chunk in USDC. Too many people I trust expect a dip into the 70s for bitcoin. Meme coins will not run hard overall until bitcoin is firmly above 100k.

Debt-based currency is highly inefficient, it is counterfeitable, and it inherently straps us down with massive debt we can never pay back.
