Big Guy 1,400 Posted February 4, 2018 If only Journey would have chosen a good band to tour with. I love Journey, I was into them and had all 3 albums BEFORE Steve Perry joined. They were best IMO when Perry, Schon & Rolie all sang leads. I'm so glad I saw them a few times in the 70's as well as 10 years ago when touring with Heart & Cheap Trick. Neil Schon is in my favorite top 5 guitarists of all time. Also, I really like Arnel Pineda even though there's still a little bit of his Philapino (sp) accent coming through. "When da rights, glow down in da Citay". Great Rockumentary here btw.....
Big Guy 1,400 Posted February 4, 2018 Going for sure at the Gorge Amphitheater. Anyone watch the Journey documentry about their new singer Arlen? Pretty good actually... yes and agree
Big Guy 1,400 Posted February 4, 2018 Too bad they didn't tell the drummer from Def Leppard. Some entertainment show caught him on the street and told him about this and he had absolutely no idea. It's almost as if the left hand didn't know what the right... Um, never mind.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted February 4, 2018 Perry is supposed to have a new solo album coming, but not sure when or if it’s still on. I saw them in Clearlake years ago when they had Steve Augeri, who was a Perry clone. Arnel can sing, he’s really good, but it’s his own style. Imagine if Perry agreed to return for a short tour, you wouldn’t be able to find tickets anywhere. People would sell their kids to go to that show.

Can't believe they can't iron out whatever their BS was for the sake of selling out arenas again.
NorthernVike 2,082 Posted February 4, 2018 I'd go see Journey, but no desire to see Def Leppard. Opposite for me. No way I could listen to Journey for an hour.
patweisers44 735 Posted February 5, 2018 Tickets for the Detroit show (at some overgrown Middle school gym named Comerica Park) go on pre-sale today. My wife is giddy with excitement.

They are biting off way more than they can chew, trying to playing baseball stadiums If you want to see it, smart move is to wait till day before or day of to grab tix on the cheap. Basically the exact opposite of being a fan club member, getting a presale code, and buying front row tickets that includes a meet and greet with the band and all sorts of swag. Which, an unnamed person, to whom I am married, did today.

My wife's a huge fan, we sat front row last time they played here. They filmed that show for AXStv special and we make several appearances in it, which is kinda cool. This time just ups the ante a little with the meet and greet, etc.
