weepaws 3,144 Posted March 14, 2018 Signs with the Titans, interesting to see how this situation works out with Henry.
Mike FF Today 718 Posted March 14, 2018 Adding Lewis is going to throw a wet blanket on all the Derrick Henry hype. Tennessee released DeMarco Murray less than week ago and the expectation by many was that Henry would assume a three-down workhorse role this season. Not so fast. Lewis is a better receiving back than Henry and is a very capable inside runner as well. It's likely Henry will be the lead back in this offense but his fantasy value isn't as promising with Lewis in the mix.

Lewis is really good.
Smileseers 54 Posted March 14, 2018 Bump Mariota a bit. The Tenn offense will be on the field more. Lewis > Murray of last year. Nice signing.
weepaws 3,144 Posted March 14, 2018 I think I would agree with the above poster about Mariota. I think I will bump him up a little bit.
The Next Generation 10 Posted March 14, 2018 Bump Mariota a bit. The Tenn offense will be on the field more. Lewis > Murray of last year. Nice signing. Agreed, with this signing and LaFleur as OC and him fully healed, Mariota will be significantly better this year.

Henry is going to be limited to two-down duty, and probably will wind up splitting carries with Lewis. Bummer for Henry dynasty owners.
edjr 6,578 Posted March 14, 2018 Lewis is NOT an every down back and an injury waiting to happen. Did not have more than 15 carries until week 15 last year., Didn't play week 17 The way he stops and cuts, he is an injury risk ~Patriots fan

He's productive and will indeed be a big problem for Henry owners. Proverbs 14:13.

The smart play is to buy Henry at a discount
seafoam1 2,794 Posted March 15, 2018 Yup. The smart play is to buy Henry at a discount No way. You can have him. Especially in a PPR.

seafoam1 2,794 Posted March 15, 2018 Hell learn how to catch when Lewis is gone for the year in week 3 Oh. How many games did Lewis play last year?
weepaws 3,144 Posted March 15, 2018 Yup. The smart play is to buy Henry at a discount I bet his stock will drop some, but not that much. Myself I would rather have Lewis. But I bet I won't get him, because his stock will be to high. If Henry's stock does indeed drop let's say to a rb3 I'm going after him.
redsrback 30 Posted March 15, 2018 Bump Mariota a bit. The Tenn offense will be on the field more. Lewis > Murray of last year. Nice signing. Would you like to join my fantasy football league ? Maybe the Titans should get a Wide Receiver who can get more then 4 TDs and stop guessing at RB. Same boat 2 RBs that are mid rounders if they share the backfield, stock goes up if they take turns being injured.

polecatt 474 Posted March 18, 2018 He's taking over DeMarco Murray's role, whatever it was. I don't think this will make Henry's numbers go down but it stall his break out once again.
weepaws 3,144 Posted March 18, 2018 I think it will be a RBBC, with a full share of Murrays role.
JohnD. 22 Posted March 23, 2018 Henry still worth a 7th rd pick (PPR) with Lewis on board?

Mr Neil 63 Posted March 23, 2018 I have Henry as a 3rd round keeper. I am thinking of throwing him back in the pool. I think Dion Lewis will end up getting 60% of the carries as he is a complete RB. The only caviat to keeping Henry is his goal line work. He will be like lagarette Blount. But ifffffff Lewis goes down which has been known to happen then Henry will be a 3 down monster

Mr Neil 63 Posted March 23, 2018 Let me reword that with touches not carries. Between pass and rush could be 60% for sure No way Lewis is going to last all season getting 60% of the carries
weepaws 3,144 Posted March 24, 2018 Touches I agree with, in a ppr league I would rank Lewis ahead on Henry. But I would keep it close, very close.
