Wawa offering free air & vac is dumb

Recommended Posts

Just noticed the air pressure light on my dash was on so I went over to Wawa after I picked up lunch... kind of a line so I waited Im up, I go to put air in my tire and its broke. You had to hold it a certain way at a certain angle with a certain pressure otherwise it wouldnt work. Place isnt even a year old yet. Ended up leaving and paying the $1.50 a 7-11. Free stuff is nice but all it does is bring the ghetto.

I thought Wawa was water. "I want some wawa"

Went to pick up my son (5) after the super bowl last night, his 15 year old cousin was watching him. He was watching my 7 and 10 year old nieces too, who went to bed.

I get there and the little bastard (sitter) has his head phones on, ignoring my son, he runs to the door and says "dadda, please, get me some wate pleaser" acting like he was stranded in the dessert. He can't reach the cups. almost had to beat up a 15 year old last night

Wawa is awesome... Sheetz is pretty good as well...

I am not a Texas homer, for example I think Whataburger is an over-rated Burger King wannabe.

Bucee's is the best regional gas station in the country and it is not close. Sheetz is good, but Bucees is the best.

I like Wawa, and free stuff. :dunno:

Thats all the confirmation I needed, thanks.

I dont know how Wawa is there but its expensive for a convience store here. Offering free air is naive and most of their paying customers probably dont use it.

QuickTrip in Oklahoma is the sh!t. Basically a gourmet food and beverage joint that happens to sell gas.

I havent noticed Wawa being more expensive than 7-11 or A+ Mart but the selection is better and the store is much less ghetto. I have used the free air pump in the past but I bought a portable inflater and a charger a few years ago, well worth it.

You can buy your own compressor for like....$40, maybe less.....you could also splurge for the pneumatic-capable, but you need a min of 7gallon.... I have both....

I let the kids use the smaller one for their bike and dirt bike tires, so they wont blow the focking things up....also good for a brad nailer. The big one i use for bigger jobs, car tires which I check once per month

My dad found an empty small cylinder metal tank sitting in an empty grass lot one time and took it home and turned it into a compressor. Added a motor with a fan belt connection to build up the air pressure, on/off switch, a pressure gauge, auto shut off once it reaches a limit and turn on when it got too low., etc. He bolted it down on a wooden board and put wheels on it. Added a long hose with two attatchments, one for tires and one for blasting air for clean up duties in the garage, etc. Had it since before I was born and it's still running like day one. For bikes and cars it was one of the most commonly used tools in his garage that was used by the whole family.
