Facebook will now block Trump campaign ads

At some point, Facebook should be held accountable for their actions right? TDS is on full tilt for them and this pretty much proves how biased they are

As a fireworks retailer I'm currently debating on whether to carry Winda's Make America Great Again 500 gram cake.The biggest drawback is my cost and what I'd have to charge per unit.I know it's the novelty of it but based on other cakes I sell at a much lower cost I rate this one a 2 out of 5.

Can't you call up the Manufacturers of the better product and have them personalize the packaging to something similar?

You can do that when you're a wholesaler and have your own brand.As I recall the minimum order is 200 cases,which in this case would be 600 cakes.

From the article, it says is SOME (not all) Trump ads that violate a policy that was already put in place.  Don't violate the policy.  FFS.

I actually support government breaking up Google and Facebook and a number of other tech companies. We did the same with standard oil and the phone companies. I just think it's stupid to b!tch about a companies service and continue to use it is all.

I'm just trying to figure out how I'm the hypocrite for thinking both cases should not have government intervention in private business while you think one is ok and one is not.  Unless you're saying you ALSO think the bakery should have been forced to make that cake. Is that what you're saying? 

 

PS - forcing them to air the ads IS the government intervening in a private business.

I’m saying you can’t force one and not force the other. Either you can refuse them all or you have to accept them all is what I’m saying. I’m trying to formulate this correctly cause the pain pills got me a little high.

I see where you're coming from in not wanting the Gov to intervene in one but not the other and that's a fair argument.  I still think of it as two wrongs don't make a right.

We *could* allow the media, corporations and major institutions like schools and hospitals to suppress right-wing thought for 70 years and say the Constitution doesn't allow us do anything about it.  However, the penalty for this will be that the republicans will lose all trust in America and lead to a civil war.

Ah I just remember then ruling he had to bake the cake. Didn’t even know it went to the SC. 
 

And yea I don’t like special treatment for one group but not another. Facebook is being VERY hypocritical about this. They SHOULD be ripped to shreds about this in the news. But they won’t because: 1: they are a liberal company and a lot of news outlets won’t put down a fellow liberal company

Yep.  It's not a left right thing.  If that were the case, Facebook would have complied with the Biden campaign last fall when they b!tched about unfair Trump ads targeting their candidate.  The ads remained.

This is a different situation.  The form of the ad is deceptive.  Just change it to something more MAGA-centric and keep on MAGAing.

I agree with this.  Though, I will be curious to see if Facebook takes down any ads from AOC about the world ending in 12 years.  Or when Bernie claims that his medicare for all will be cheaper than what we have now.  Things like that.

Only a retard would think it had anything to do with the US census. Same retards who fall for the IRS calling them and telling them if they don't pay their back taxes with Apple gift cards over the phone immediately then they will go to prison.

Facebook removing that ad was nothing but a biased political move to affect the election.
