He was at least 22.  He was an established NFL player, so he's obviously out of college.  In all 50 states, a 22 year old hooking up with a 14 or 15 year old is statutory rape.

This.  If he was a player now that said it sure, that's a problem.  But how long ago was this?  It was a different era.  We really need to quit digging up "gotcha" clips (audio or video) from other eras and applying current standards to them.  You could SAY things 25 years ago that you can't say now, even if the actions themselves even then would be reprehensible.  And it's not because the level or reprehensibility of the actions has changed.  It's because we've become a society that just looks to nail people for ANYTHING.  As a great drill sergeant once said....."Lighten up Francis."
