The Dow still is up more than 10,000 points from what it peaked at under Clownzo.

With a 100% chance of a rate cut next FOMC I didn't expect the selling to start now.

You've proven to be great at not expecting outcomes.

If a 2% down day in the market is make or breaking your retirement plans, then you might be a redneck.  (read it again in the Jeff Foxworthy voice)

If this crash was related to AI, why would all the proctor and Gambles and Kimberly Clarks be getting annihilated.

No, I think this is something more systemic.

Remember when everyone's answer was "it is in the cloud" I just kept laughing at that answer. You do know "the cloud" is just a bank of servers right? It is not actually IN a cloud.

Are you sure? 🤣 This pile of sh1t believes its in the clouds.

The dow.  🤣 You idiot. The dow is not the gauge to be used. The S&P is a far better gauge and under Trump it is still performed better as you can see below, even with the now 8.2% gain in 2024.

Opening S&P 500:

1/20/17 - 2,269.96

1/20/21 - 3,816.22

8/5/24 - 5,151.14

Let me know if you need help with the math.  You probably need it since you think whole life is a good investment vehicle.

DJI works too.  Opening DJI:

1/20/17 - 19,843.94

1/20/21 - 31,017.54

8/5/24 - 39,056.19

PG ended down 1.19% & KMB 1.75%

The Nikkei 225 was down 12.40%

To match that, the Dow would've been down 5000 points instead of 1000

Now that's annihilation.

😆 For real. And those banks of servers are a massive energy suck. Times a million if is it's AI stuff.

Yeah, these initial shock wave days are rarely the end of the turbulence.  Perilous to ever try to call a bottom or predict more losses, but the issues that caused this fear aren't going away tomorrow.

Index fund. Dial it back based on age / risk tolerance as you age. That and time is all you need.

It's funny to see the kameltoe talk about all the changes that are needed for her to make things good in this country and yet all the liberals who pray on their knees to her think everything is fine as it is. No contradictions there.  Liberals are so stupid. 😆

NVDA earnings in about 2 hours or so.  Tech took a beating today, so if they come in with a beat and raise, lots of room to go crazy after hours.

I guess NVDA is going to get the AAPL treatment.  Unless they blow out estimates by 50%, they're going to get sold off post earnings.

Didn't listen to the conference call, but it looks like revenues were a couple billion short, while earnings beat by $0.05

Shares were down $2.69 in regular trading, and lost another $8.66 after hours. NASDAQ futures currently down 184 points.

Revenues for the previous 4 quarters were up 101% - 205% - 265% & 262% YOY

Even Nvidia can't keep up that rate of growth forever.

Nah, black.  Consensus estimates were for 113% revenue growth and they had 122%

Word of the day:

Exculpation:

Noun:
The act of freeing from guilt or blame. Forgiveness/Pardon

Logged into my Fidelity account the other day and saw I had 3 proxies to vote.

Two of the 3 companies had an article related to Exculpation.

2. Approval of an amendment to the Company's Certificate of Incorporation to provide for officer exculpation.

Of course both companies wanted me to vote in favor.

If you own individual stocks, and any of them have an article similar to this, make sure to vote against it.
