I’m 50 miles from big Naval and Air Force bases, a few miles from a major US city downtown, they’d probably blow up Microsoft just because, that’s 15 miles away.

I’m not too worried about the apocalypse. It will be quick for me.

I think I'm in an area that should be left alone.  I occasionally think about what I would need to do to survive if things go bad.  I'm not a major prepper or anything like that but I do try to have the skills to survive off the land.

In 1890 were people laughing at the thoughts of nearly 120,000 Americans would die in WW1 and 450,000 American's would die in WW2? I don't know. But I'm guessing some people had a sense it was coming and the majority probably laughed at them and called them alarmists.

The conflict in Ukraine brought the chance of someone shooting a nuke at the US in the next few years from 0.001% to like .1%.  yes the chances are 1000 times more likely,  but it's still pretty damn unlikely.

Now the chance Ukraine gets a tactical nuke shoved up their kiev.  Maybeeeee... 3%?  So it's worth a discussion, but not this whole, "Russia has no choice but to nuke the US now and Biden will bend the knee," stuff is complete horse shìt.
