I believe that plenty of options worked. What I don’t believe is when pharma company says nothing works nothing at all except this miracle jab that doesn’t stop you from getting sick or from spreading.

There is a group within my family that got caught up in the vax hysteria like 15 years ago, and did not vaccinate their kids....which I think is criminal, but to each their own I guess.   Where "I" take issue is when their decision impacts "my" family.   

Like locally there is a resumption of things like measles and such.  Why? Because we allow immigrants to enter this country and do not enforce vaccinations on them, so they bring disease into schools. OUR kids have to provide proof of vaccination.....but when you are here illegally....you do as you please....

If they are in public school, I’m not aware of any immunization exceptions for immigrants, except maybe for religious reasons but you don’t need to be an immigrant to claim that.

Back in 2020, I had a Facebook exchange with a radical anti-vax right-winger who was a single mom with a young child. She also works as a focking nurse.

She was ranting about vaccines, so I asked her what she would do if a rabid coyote bit her daughter.

She replied that this would never happen.

I changed it to raccoon. It's night and the daughter is asked to take out the trash. She can't see the rabid raccoon behind the trash can. The rabid raccoon bites the daughter.

The single mom said she's put some homeopathic ointment on the wound to keep the kid from getting rabies.

This is how stupid anti-vaxxers are.

Now, what happened was that they allowed these kids into some local schools, but interestingly....only the lower income areas....they DARED NOT put these kids in more affluent schools.  They mistakenly assumed they could hide it.  But when these diseases starting transpiring, local papers got into it....found those people an captured their stories....

Which is exactly what the Democrats did when Trump introduced operation fast track. I remember that none of them were going to get it, and after Biden was elected they mandated that everybody get it. that in itself is enough reason to question and not get the vaccine.

Most people know that the vaccine isn't as awesome as originally hoped, but it was warp speed and we all wanted covid to be over, and still, the vaccine greatly helped in ending covid.

This thread wasn’t supposed to be about the Covid vaccine.  It’s about how skepticism about the Covid vaccine has now resulted in skepticism about ALL vaccines, even though many people initially claimed to only be against the Covid vaccine.

You can put some of the blame on the CDC, particularly because of the unnecessary recommendation for children to get the Covid vaccine.   But most of it is due to grifters pushing their agenda for profit.
