Chicago deep dish pizza = severely overrated.     Just my opinion, but I've been to Chicago and had deep dish pizza at a couple of places that were supposed to be the "go-to" places to get good deep dish.    Nope - I'm good.   I'll stick with NY style pizza.    Deep dish pizza sux.

Deep dish is its own thing. Like it or not. Chicago pizza overall is superior. Thin crust or deep dish. 

New York style pizza is like eating tomato paste on a thin slice of soaking wet cardboard. It should be called "flaccid style pizza". Focking gross.

I've had deep dish in Chicago probably 10-15 times in my life, And never had those options on top of my pizza.

Flying in late Jan 12 and out late on the 16th.  Staying at the Congress Plaza Hotel.  Got tickets to the Bulls. Thunder on the 13th, and Second City tickets on Saturday.

Best place to eat Friday before the bulls game, or Saturday before Second City?  Or how about ideas for things to do on Sunday or Monday during the day before we fly out later that night?  Or restaurant ideas for sunday night?  If you had to pick one itialan restaurant for the entire trip, what would it be?

I was in San Fran a month ago.  The homeless situation is a huge problem.  Did have a great lunch with Bier Meister and his wife.

So I get in late Thursday night the week before MLK day.  

Friday reservations at Mart Anthony's, then tickets to the Bulls/ Thunder

Saturday lunch at the Berghoff, dinner reservations at Corcoran's (there's an afc divisional game on at 7:15 pm so thinking ahead), and Second City later that night.

I'm really hoping the Chiefs get the 1 seed and don't play this weekend.  

Sunday I don't have much planned and would like to find something to do.  Have reservations to Gene & Georgetti's that night.  Was thinking maybe the Green Mill later that night.

Monday lunch reservations at Pequod's.  Would have time to do something on Monday as well, and probably time to grab dinner somewhere before flying back late that night.
