It’s not legit. and while the 2A protects your right to own a firearm it does not protect you from regulations. Otherwise why would the words “well-regulated” be included?

Why is it not legit?  Why do you put so much blind faith in our government?

I've been wondering lately where all the Harrimuff chicks have gone. Thanks for finding one!

1. It’s not legit because gun confiscation is not on the table, never been on the table , never will be.
2. I don’t have blind faith in the government but I also don’t begin with the belief that they are out to do harm to us. In a free country the government is made up of people who for the most part try to do their best to serve the rest of us. Sometimes they screw up, sometimes large bureaucracy can lead to Kafkaesque outcomes which can be downright scary.  But deliberate intent to do harm is pretty rare.

I don't believe the government will confiscate our guns but I'm not ok with making it easier if they ever decide they want to.

I always thought Macy Gray was such an overrated artist and had such a grating voice. Enough to drive you mad. This makes more sense now.

Notice how badly she needs the closure first though. It can't just be that they die. She needs them to say good bye. That's how you know it's a woman posting.

That is why you always get to bang your ex one last time. Same mentality. It's weird.

So, according to the following article, the gun was a Xmas gift from the kid's father AFTER the FBI investigation last year so he knew it was likely his kid had threatened a school shooting, and he told the investigators that his kid didn't have unsupervised access to guns.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/05/us/winder-georgia-shooting-apalachee-high-school/index.html

If that's the case the father should be prosecuted just like those parents in Michigan were.

I’m betting this is something that 99% of conservatives and liberals can all agree on.

Nobody over the age of 6 believes that. American Politics was never meant to be a career. They've hijacked our system of government to enrich themselves at our expense.

I think you truly believe your post, despite all of the evidence to the contrary. I don't know that I would characterize that as naïveté. But I do believe that you believe it to be true.

I am cynical. You're absolutely correct about that. That doesn't mean I'm wrong, though.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/05/us/winder-georgia-shooting-apalachee-high-school/index.html

The father of the Georgia school shooting suspect has been arrested and charged, authorities say

Colin Gray, 54, has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children, the GBI said Thursday.

The charges stem from Colin Gray “knowingly allowing” his son to have a weapon, GBI Director Chris Hosey said at a news conference Thursday.

Every time there is a shooting the conspiracy theorists come out.  They all think it was a hoax and that there were multiple shooters.  The kids interviewed are crisis actors.  It's all the FBI's doing.  Same thing with Trump being shot.

I guess posting the Ten Commandments on the walls in Georgia didn’t work. Maybe try something else. Like electing people who aren’t scared of the NRA. Just a thought.

Kid is obviously trans and mentally ill.

His drug addict parents were easily able to get drugs via the wide open border due to Kamala’s failure as border Czar.  Sad story we have seen all too often in Biden-Harris America.

Thoughts and prayers to all these families suffering needlessly because Georgia officials could not protect democracy in 2020.

Seems entirely appropriate given the news.  of course the news is not evidence vetted through the adversarial oprocess of the courts so his guilty remains in doubt, but putting him on trial does seem warranted.  If the reported facts bear out i hope he spends the rest of his days in the gray bar hotel.  he may find the amenities and the activities  at the facility intyeresting, at least I hope so.

Basically.  As soon as they see a pic, regardless of it being real, they instantly say he's a far left, trans, nutjob.  Mentally ill would be the only accurate description as of now.

I try to be an optimist about most things. I think the fact that conservatives and liberals alike agree almost unanimously on the prosecution of this father is a great sign for our society. It shows, I believe, that despite our differences on so many issues we share similar feelings on most of the really important questions of right and wrong.

We need to put more focus on personal responsibility.  Our society has strayed far from it.

What if, in the pic, he was making the "duck lips" face while looking back over a shoulder?  Seems to me a picture like that might be some evidence of identity or proclivity.

I wish it were his kid that was killed instead of  the other ones.

In many of these school shootings, there are a lot of people responsible. The targets are often times responsible for their own deaths. Kids can be relentlessly, and obsessively mean to some kids. And they gang up to make the victim shut down and live in fear until they crack. Many of these kids are pushed to their breaking point.  Schools and parents  should be keeping their eyes on the kids and their behavior online and offline and cracking down hard on the bad  kids when they see things that are off.
