I think obj overvalued himself.   He got paid like a mid tier LT which is probably about what he is.   He wasn't that great at pass protection imo, but with Mahomes they could make it work.   Burrow doesn't have the agility Mahomes does to avoid pressure, so i'm going to guess that you see obj a bit more exposed now.   OBJ wanted paid like an elite tackle, tested the market, probably found teams weren't willing to unload the cash he wanted so Cincy got him on a decent deal.   We'll see how it works out.   

Teams have poached our talent, which will happen when you are winning as much as the Chiefs have been.   Still can't see the team of the decade, raiders with Jimmy g or Denver and their bounties out for killing Mahomes taking us off the pedestal anytime soon.  Definitely need to keep hitting on draft picks though who can contribute out of the gate to keep up the league dominance we've been witnessing.

Then we probably got four coming between obj, juju, Thornhill and Saunders.  Probably a couple in earlier rounds as well.   Maybe a third, fourth, sixth and seventh?

It's much harder to block for a mobile QB. Unless he has eyes in the back of his head he has no idea where the QB is or is going.

Max is end of the third round. Can’t go any higher. Depends on the contracts given.  They are slotted. The Giants have one of their third rounders. I don’t know if that was a comp pick or if it counts against the four.

So now all Mahomes gets is MVS and Skyy Moore.  Kadarius Toney is good but he can't be depended on, gets hurt and misses gametime way too often.

Yes this year, but I think these comps will be for the 2024 draft. Also, we signed and paid a tackle more than what obj got.

Do you really think the Chiefs are done and going into the year with Toney, mvd and skyy Moore? Plus they have Justin Ross who was drafted ahead of Mahomes where a change of scenery could be a good thing for him.   And no one has signed Hardman yet and maybe they are targeting him

KC might league leader in the front office department, OBJ was expensive, but losing him hurts. Losing him to the maybe the "2nd" best team in the AFC hurts even more.

Just another piece to add to the defense at less than $5m and solidifies a position to allow the Chiefs to address other needs in the draft.   Chiefs win again.
