A slightly breezy 86 at sunset, on my back patio drinking an old fashioned and watching the Suns/Clippers.  :)

4:50 is some of the most amazing close footage I've ever seen.

I don't think it reached F4 in that video. Maybe a 2.

Here's an F4. You're talking like a quarter mile wide.

Spring in Iowa is trash.  A few weeks ago we had sirens going off and tornadoes in the area.  It was 80 all last week.  On Saturday there weren't any big storms but my tree got hit by lightning.  Yesterday we got about 2" of snow.

I have my first kayak bass tournament of the season this weekend and I have no idea what to expect.

There's an old joke about Michigan (probably a few other states as well) being a place where you can experience all four seasons in one week.

84 last friday

Cold november rain yesterday

30s and snow today

I am sure we had a day of Spring in there somewhere.

I think most of the Midwest is like that.  Spring sucks.

A derecho style storm that came through around 12:15 AM Friday.

Lots of horizontal rain. The highest gust reported was 90 mph. Gave me a whole new level of respect for people that have to live through hurricanes.

The roar from the wind & constant thunder was the worst part of it. Not easy to see, but there's debris being thrown against the side of the building across the street in the last clip. (Bottom Left)

*have the volume turned up high*

A strong storm I filmed yesterday.

Great footage.  It's been a very active spring so far.  After a drought last year we are now in a flood warning after the latest storm went through.  We have a chance for more severe weather tomorrow as well.

I know some people in that part of MN.

Same story here in south central Minnesota. I have to mow a huge lawn for someone. Only had to do that 3 times total last year. I've already mowed 6 times this year & it needs it again but it's too wet!

Amazing how a slight difference in the jet stream's location can change a summer from droughts, to flooding.

It's nice to see water levels back to where they use to be 5 years ago though.  The Mississippi River had been crazy low.  Even a bunch of the lakes we fish around Alexandria were pretty low.

Monday, August 26 NW Of Mankato Minnesota. Even though there wasn't a tornado, this is my best video to date to show what's going on directly beneath a rotating wall cloud/supercell.

This is the second time in August that I've been very close to the updraft/mesocyclone area of a supercell.

The truck that passes to my right @ 1:42 is a fellow storm chaser who stopped and filmed behind me. There were two others as well.

You claim that the Earth is overheating. That it’s “too hot.” So, what is the correct global mean surface temperature (GMST) for life on Earth and why?

I'd like to see this^^ chart dating to the beginning of the industrial revolution.

Except for the tornados, no. Spring is awesome in the midwest. If tornados are seen, get cover. But other than that spring is focking awesome in the midwest.

I hate Spring.  The temp swings suck.  We've had temps in the 80's, tornadoes, thunderstorms and two blizzards all within the last month.  Spring is the second worst season.

Spring has almost become worse than winter. I've been back in the midwest for 10 years now, and every year the weather has fluctuated wildly all spring after mostly mild winters. Then you get one last blizzard and a week later it's 80 and basically summer.

There were some crazy cold days the last two winters but I agree with you, the springs have been worse.  More fluctuation, more storms, more snow...

High of 71 here in Phoenix today, with winds picking up in the afternoon.  Cooling off into the mid 60s until the weekend.  This is crazy cool for this time of year.  I'm golfing Thursday morning and will need to bundle up. GB climate change.

That's more transition. Spring is not all that. It's a time that the cold mellows out. I love winter but it lasts too long. Always has since I was a kid. February and March can be rough mentally, but that's about it.

Yesterday we had highs in the mid 40's with rain that turned into snow.  Gross.

For those of you who enjoy following severe weather, it looks like it's going to be an active week.
