I vote Super Mario Bros, but I was more a 90s arcade player. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam.

80s video games in general? Hard to go wrong with NES original Legend of Zelda and a very underrated game - Maniac Mansion

I got pissed off at my ex wife when I was thirty and decided to go to the arcade and play Galaga. Turned it over, a million +.  Should have died at 9999.99 to have the record on the board. But wanted to hit a million points. My right hand was so tired, I didn’t jerk off for a month.

Missle Comand was bad ass too. Had tournaments at the bar. Good times.

I to this day still play a Galaga rom.  Love that game.

No one's mention it, but Tron was a pretty cool game too.

Arch Rivals was hysterical! Loved that game.

I liked to play Crystal Castles a lot back then too.

Best 1980's Arcade Game

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is the sequel to the vector graphics Star Wars arcade video game released by Atari, Inc. in 1983. It was made available by Atari Games in 1985 as a conversion kit for the original game. As in Star Wars, the player takes on the role of Luke Skywalker in a set of battle sequences from a first-person perspective. The game features the Battle of Hoth and the subsequent escape of the Millennium Falcon through an asteroid field. It is the third Star Wars arcade title from Atari; the raster game Return of the Jedi came out the previous year.

Galaga and Ms Pac Man were the best.

For some reason I excelled at Tempest

Track and Field if you had a comb and new how to hold it in your fingers all you had to do was hit one button and let the comb do the rest of the work.

Ms. Pac Man, Frogger, and Centipede were my favorites.  My grandma worked the concessions at a roller skating rink and they had all of these games and more and skee ball.

A friend of mine in the 1990s had the full size arcade game Galaga at his house.

hands down Star Wars 1983 cockpit arcade game.  this was waaaaaay ahead of its time.  honestly cockpit style arcade games are the last survivor in modern game rooms like jurassic park (2015), Dark Escape 4D (2012), the Walking Dead (2017), Star Wars Battle Pod (2014), Area 51 (1995), Area 51 sequel (1998), Monster Eye 5D (2014), Mach Storm (2013), After Dark Deluxe (2013),
