it would have to exist first

I have long been of the belief that the only difference between some guys like us and  FF "experts" (Berry, Yates, Eisenberg, etc) including hacks like Joe Bryant  are time and a platform.

It's not our career... but if we wanted to start a FF website and podcast etc etc and put the time into it, we would be no better or worse.

I’m down to do a golf podcast like we have joked about before. We might fall flat but damnnnit we tried.

I think it's dumb as fok changing rule right before the draft.  This has been set up for weeks.

But, I'm for less points for QBs.

It's not less points, though. It's the same as last season.  I can't help an incorrect setting being made.    And no way anyone saw 5 points for passing TDs and thought, yeah.. that makes sense

I only have high noons and vodka currently.

DRAFT ANALYSIS TIME.

Personally : I expected to take Diggs in round 1... Hill was a surprise and someone I have not drafted much this year so I was good with that
Rd 2: Wilson was who I wanted (Amon-Ra was the backup plan)
Rd 3: Keenan was the target
Rd 4: Hoped to see one of the big 3 QBs last but Jackson works.

** Andrews still being on the board surprised me and falsely lead me to believe Waller would be gettable in round 5. After Hock and Waller, i'd wait for Freiermuth

Rd 5: Pivoted to Sanders with my TE targets gone. Initial plan was TE here and RB in round 6
Rd 6: went for the upside with Hall. He can ride the bench with hopes of becoming the Aaron Jones portion of the RB duo in NY by week 4-5
Rd 7: With Freiermuth popped, Lockett was the easy target.
Rd 8: Njoku is a reach but the upside exists

I dont remember round for round the rest but I know I got targeted players in McKinnon, Juwan Johnson, Chuba as insurance and my top... yes top DST. Thought Tua was a surprise that late for my QB2. I usually see him go as a QB1 with a safe backup.

Missed out on targets like Brandin Cooks and Michael Thomas.

Lots of good teams

Thanks everyone for a smooth draft

Only got sniped twice.  I also thought Waller would be there, took injured Kittle instead.  Wanted Cooks, settled for Pittman Jr.

Kupp never makes it to #8 if not for the injury.  Reaggrevated news just a couple hours before the draft didnt make it easy especially with Hill sitting there.  Need some guys to get healthy quick.

DRAFT ANALYSIS TIME.

From the #3 slot

1. It was JJ, CMC, or Jamaar..and Jamaar was the one that fell.

2-3 turn - It was either wr/wr or wr/qb. when more rbs were taken at the start of rd2, I had more options than expected. It was either, Ridley or Devonta in 2. I thought Mahomes would be gone before my 2nd, and I would go for Josh Allen, but they were both there, and 1 would likely be in the 3rd rd. Mahomes it was.

4. Sniped a bit by Bier taking Conner and Lager taking Walker III. Debated Breece but thought I could wait more for rb. Went Mike Evans.

5. Waller. Expected this.

6. Need a back, Javonte.

7. need another, DSwift. Considering I wait this long, I am happy with these 2.

8. Since we can play 4 Wrs, Michael Thomas.

9. Darnell Mooney.

10. Jaylen Warren.

11. Zach Charbonnet

Overall, this very much played out like the mocks I looked at. If I got CMC at 3, most of the rest would have been the same, except maybe I take a wr instead of Javonte or Swift. I was expecting a different backup qb. The 7 qbs taken out of 10 picks in 12th left me with Purdy. At the end of the day, best draft ever. Send me the cash now ed.

1.7- knowing that there is a pretty clear drop at wr after the 2/3rd round, original strategy was to grab hill or diggs if i could not get kelce.  I decided to take a chance on the rookie here.

2.6- there were several wrs i was looking at. went waddle.. downside is that last year he was pretty tua -dependent.

3.7- due to my risk in the 1st round, went with josh allen to balance it out (liked it more than rbs/wrs) and thought it was a little early for te (down year for tiers 2 and 3)

4.6- back to rb wth conner (and higher risk with his health issues)

5.7- looking at the grouping of wrs, and the depth of rbs, liked the upside of Aiyuk

6.6- with tes starting to go, went with philly safety valve

7.7- weighed rb vs wr.  there were several wrs that i thought would fall, so went with rachaad white

8.6- targeted lockett and addison..both went beofre my pick... thought about michael thomas/sutton/mclauren.. i don't usually go for wash players but went mclauren

9.7- started to think about bu qb and defense.. went with aj dillon, as i think gbp will be running a bit (even with jones being the primary)

10.6- dal d/st

11.7- was thinking about all positions here.. went with elijah moore

12.6- qbs started to go. grabbed goff as a bu to allen

13.7- didn't love the field... grabbed allgeier as a bu to robinson

14.6- butcker.. high scoring offense. reliable pts

15.7- bu te... fant

16.6- flyer on fournette

For zero and I mean zero prep, I’m happy as a pig in shat to be favored against @Twinsdad week 1.

Then we were on even ground...that's the same amount of prep I did for the draft as well.  only down by 2.5 isn't bad.

You only sniped me with the last pick, Charbonet.  Lager was my nemesis this draft, taking 3 guys I had ready to pick right before my turn.

You are spot on.  Sorry for that.  I was on an iPad and I couldn’t get things to work right.  I’m also tech challenged.

1.5  I knew when the draft order was revealed Kelce was my pick. Had he been snagged I would have taken Tony Pollard.

2.8 wanted best WR available and was hoping for Waddle but more than pleased with Amon Brown. Talented young buck ready to take another step forward.

3.5 DK metcalf - kinda wish I took Devonta smith now. I have 3 sets of RB - pass catchers on the same team.

4.8 Kenny Walker - can be a stud but sucks in the redzone and catching passes. Now has a rooking breathing on him.

5.5 I wanted Joe Burrow but settled for Justin Herbert. I went into this not wanting one of the top tier guys, but didn’t want to slip past this tier.

I was sh1t-faced hammered at this point and can’t tell you what I was thinking for the rest of my picks. They just happened.

I hope your head doesn’t explode from this but I used your July Mock from the 10 hole as a guide to my picks.
