None of this happens if she gets out of the car like she was asked to. Then she tried to get away by hitting the cop. Once you hit the cop you are using the car as a weapon and  you just committed a crime. It is not the job of the cops to allow you to run them over and THEN shoot. The car was in park when they got there and she put it in drive and dared them to shoot her. Then her family is shocked when she got shot. You CAN NOT use your car as a weapon. The social contract with the cops is that you do what they ask. If you have a problem with that you fight them in court. Not the street. If you try to fight them in the street whatever happens after that is likely going to be looked at as your fault.

In 2001, the last year of the law and order Gulliani administration, that number had shrunk to 136. Gee, I wonder how that could be possible? Yes that’s true but they never should’ve escalated the situation in the first place. Alleged shoplifting is no reason to extrajudicially execute someone, especially a pregnant lady.

Plus I never said anything about race. I do think they might’ve responded differently to a white Karen, especially like a white Karen in a Range Rover, but that’s speculation.
