I have a thought that people were potentially not voting FOR Trump so much as AGAINST Harris(Biden). I think the Democrats refusal to allow her to define the distinctions between her and Joe sunk them. People were voting FOR an end to the worst economic situation of their lifetime, and not FOR the candidate in reality it doesn't have to be just one thing. I believe it's several. For me: - Biden has been a trainwreck and Kamalatoe has stated she wouldn't do one thing differently. She didn't do anything for the few jobs she was given as VP and you can't trust her positions on anything. She ran as much of a basement campaign as Biden, just in plain sight. Biden did enough damage and another 4 years of similar policies would leave this country in shambles so voting for her was not an option. - I voted 3rd party in 2016. I didn't think Hitlery OR Trump were qualified to be President. Much like Vance, Trump proved me wrong. I agreed with most of his policies and, unlike most candidates, his policies mirrored what he ran on. So I have an idea of what I'm getting in Trump and expect his policies to be mostly in line with what I believe in. So voting for him was easy this time around. There are a lot of other reasons to vote for him, some of which might be specific to certain ethnicities/religions. If I'm Jewish I vote for him just for Israel's sake. If I'm black I vote for him due to the history of the Dems doing nothing for us but Trump doing more for blacks in one term than most Presidents do in multiple terms. So, there are a lot of reasons to vote for Trump and I suspect most people have at least a couple.

There is nothing wrong with a female leader. It is the very principle you are espousing here that Democrats need to stop. Instead of considering people as people, they consider them based on these characteristics. This is the major failure of Democrats in this recent election. They saw Black....hispanic.....latino.....whatever.....instead of "middle class". Until Democrats can stop categorizing people by their irrelevant characteristics someone like Trump can easily step in and defeat them. How did Trump coalesce all these disparate groups in the way he did.....because he spoke in terms of middle class, lower class and economic freedoms and desires.... and if you are a latino or black or white or asian or any other completely irrelevant thing......you still care about the same simple things......being able to live well and set the table for your kids to do even better.....Trump understood this. He spoke to ALL OF THEM......by speaking to things that unify them. SO......go ahead.....pretend its "because she is a woman" if you prefer, and to be fair there is likely some of that in play......but its smaller than we should care about...... If you decide to hold on to that, you are just destined to repeat the same mistake.

jonnyutah 217 Posted November 6 Telling people the economy was great is one of the bigger campaign blunders of recent times. It will not be easy to fix I've said this before and I'll say it again. The difference I see between the two parties legislatively is - The things the GOP implements tend to be reversible. Lower Taxes, border enforcement, etc.....The things the Dems like to implement are permanent or very difficult to reverse. Obamacare, letting in 10 millions illegals (or more) in just 4 years, etc. ..... Trump is going to have his hands full dealing with the border disaster Biden left us. Hopefully that's his #1 priority and he gets started on it day one or earlier. Other than that fortunately Biden didn't do too much damage. We can recover from inflation and hopefully possibly even reverse some of the price increases. We'll see. What we really need is more time to reverse all this crap and get the country back on the right track. Hopefully we can have at least a couple terms in power. Going back and forth between the two parties or giving the Dems major control of government for multiple terms has been a big problem. I hope J.D. Vance is more prominent than most V.P.'s and shows himself a worthy successor to Trump. 8-12 years of good policy could do wonders for this country.

But this time around Trump had a pretty diverse set of folks voting for him. I submit this is true because he found the thing that unify them which were not things like race or gender. Democrats are the real racists and misogynists.....consider how Obama spoke to and about "the brothers".....and the range of others who think.......black people think a certain way.....based on skin color....or, women vote a certain way.....based on genitalia..... these are more than just failed thoughts....they are evil thoughts..... Bad behaviors exist on both sides......calling things out evenly is not "fence sitting"....its being a responsible citizen, and not allowing political factors to dictate morality....
