IGotWorms 4,053 Posted August 7, 2024 There’s definitely an issue with antisemitism among the younger generation of liberals. No doubt about it, and it must be addressed. But I think the issue with Shapiro was more his own ambitions and the risk that he might outshine Harris. This has always been a no-no for VPs, on either side

He wrote “that’s literally what happened” except that neither he nor any conservative have any evidence of this baseless claim. But why should this be different from the thousand other baseless claims that conservatives make these days? Conservatism has become a movement based on feelings- bad ones. As a first step to come to a resolution between people who call abortion " a woman's right to choose" and people who call abortion murder, I would concede to if a woman gets an abortion simply because they don't want the kid, they get their ability to ever have another child taken away for good. Maybe they'll think about using protection before they ever get pregnant in the first place. But as far as tax payer funded, it's not moral to make me pay for that act of destroying an innocent life. Look at me thinking our current government could ever have a moral code.

Second, I can only tell you what the recent polling says: black voters are now more unified behind Kamala Harris than they’ve been behind anyone since Barack Obama in 2008. That’s what the numbers say. You’re free not to believe them and I’m free to be skeptical of your opinion.

The Real timschochet 5,398 Posted August 7, 2024 It’s interesting that all the descriptions of Walz as a progressive refer to his record on social issues but not on economic ones. Economically he appears to be pro-business and very centrist, (though he is pro-union.) Trump considered him so pro-business that in 2019 Walz was appointed to Trump’s bipartisan governor’s council.
