Thoughts on the rest of my post?

Voting in PA made accommodations due to Covid…like that are doing in NC this election due to the disaster that hit areas of the state. I don’t have an issue with this.

The rest of your commentary we will see. I do think the election comes down to PA.

I'll say again:  a state that was so close 4 years that they needed 110% of wards in Philly voting for Biden, and higher courts allowing them to violate their constitution to allow undated and late votes, is not going to elect a candidate who has openly opposed fracking until it was politically bad, and who comes from the administration responsible for the current economy.  It just makes no sense.  I'm sure my Lefties will have an opposing argument, tho.

It’s not that hard to refute you, to be honest. Pennsylvania just elected a Democratic governor and Senator, both of whom have similar stances to fracking that Kamala has (was against it now for it) and both of whom have way more influence in terms of stopping or slowing down fracking if they wanted to than the President would.

There are about a zillion good reasons to vote for Harris over Trump and economic issues are one of them. And she’s ahead in Pennsylvania.

Horseman was the guy who argued that if someone knocks on your door, or rings the bell, you absolutely have to answer it. You can't just ignore it even if it is like a Jehovah's Witness or something like that.

Dude is lonely for companionship as the fake life he has created on this board isn't doing it for him. He is 100% the person who answers a phone call from a pollster and talks to them for an hour or so.

Clinton earlier and now Walz... Oh boy.

It's an objective train wreck. Dems are grasping at straws every day.

If you wrote a fictional story about this implosion, people would put the book down from the absurdity.

If you are a liberal, take an honest look at who your candidate is, and how the party is handling this race. It's so ridiculous and Kamala is such a poor candidate, that they can't stop themselves from telling the truth.

Normally politicians are good liars, but even Kamala makes their normal job of lying very difficult.

Trump has been doing great campaigning, but he didn't have to work that hard. Just let the party face plant.

This is what they get when they put up Hillary, a horribly unlikeable person and criminal. Joe Biden with major cognitive issues, and them Kamala the dumbest candidate to ever grace the stage.

The dems had a lot of people fooled if they just had a decent candidate. The liberal posters on here should be sick that this is how their party ran the campaign. They should vote Trump based on principle at this point.

Accommodations... because Covid prevented people from dating ballots, or sending them in on time?  Regardless, I agree that it is actually a potential issue for areas affected by Helene in particular.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Just some food for thought to the overreliance on polls- 2016 was notable for how underrepresented the Trump voter was...2020 the Democrats were even further ahead and won. Based on polling if Kamala opened up a 4 point national lead on Trump then the Harris team could feel good about winning. 2022 there is a narrative that Democrat voters were underrepresented but that really isn't that true.

Sure, the local politicians support fracking.  I don't get your argument that any PA politician would stop fracking in the state.  That would be the feds if anyone, hence my statement about the risk of Kamala.

Yes. I believe that was the case. I typically want voting to be made easier and more accessible for all voters.

The senators decide funding and the governor has power too. My point is that Pennsylvania won’t be decided on the fracking issue. You make it sound like it’s completely unreasonable for anyone in that state (or anywhere else to support Harris.) IMO she’s the only choice a reasonable person could make.

One of the problems facing gas production in PA is the lack of FERC controlled interstate pipeline expansion needed to get gas to markets, especially in the northeast. That can be correct at the federal level.

No, my point is that the state was razor close in 2020, and the fracking issue doesn't help.  You've made absolutely no case why PA would go from 2020, with Biden from Scranton and decades of history supporting unions and the state in general, to the same or more votes for Kamala and her historic opposition to fracking.

Put another way:  why would a PA voter vote for Kamala now that didn't vote for Biden in 2020?

This seems like a valid concern regarding the federal control of natural gas business for PA.

1. Jan 6

2. Trump’s tariffs proposals

3. Abortion

4. Ukraine

5. Trumps threat to use the military against domestic enemies.

6. Virtually the entire group of people around Trump the last time, now saying he is too incompetent and dangerous to be trusted with the Presidency again.

I can think of lots of other reasons. These will do for now.

The state support for fracking is kind of split- something like 48-44% in favor as to being opposed.

It's also fair to point out that most of the fracking in PA takes place on private land and the president can't ban fracking there.

Also this:

Quote

The drilling industry now directly employs about 12,000 people in Pennsylvania. That’s down from 17,000 in 2019. Its main trade group, the Marcellus Shale Coalition, says the amount of money gas companies pump into the state’s economy will support another 120,000 jobs.

That’s a lot of jobs. But the state has nearly 13 million people and workforce of more than 6 million.

I'm not sure who else lives in battleground states but for those that do- are you seeing billboards and stuff out and about for Trump/Kennedy: Make America Healthy Again?

I guess they are trying to drive home that RFK Jr is on Trump's team but it really downplays Vance as he isn't mentioned on the board and it looks like RFK is the VP candidate.

Thanks.  I can quibble with each of these, including your #5 which is mind-numbingly dumb, but in the end it is about perception, so I can see how most of these could move the needle a little.

Considering the left has been using the DOJ and other agencies to go after domestic enemies, I find his "concern" laughable.

It just struck me as odd and I was wondering if those signs are other places as well.

Trump endorsed by Las Vegas Review Journal.  I am not familiar with this paper but I did look up the ownership and history and understand they likely lean strongly right.  I post this not specifically because of the endorsement, but the FACTS and reasoning for the endorsement.  Other than their stance on Jan 6th, which I mostly disagree with, they pretty much nail where I'm coming from, both in my reasoning for voting for Trump AND in why I don't believe Kamala is a worthy President.  And I suspect this reasoning will resonate with many of the people here voting for Trump:

In the interview he mentioned Adam Schiff. You may dislike Schiff but you’ll have to explain to me how Schiff represents  threat to peace.

Does it bother you that you’re constantly forced to defend Donald Trump? That he never really means it when he says this crazy sh!t??

Anyone else notice how the Libs here like @The Real timschochet just ignore the issues that come up around Kamalatoe's campaign, like her plagiarism issue, CBS' 60 minutes editing controversy, etc....?   They just pretend those things don't exist.  I find it amusing but I do notice their silence.
