ACA did irreparable harm.  It allowed insurance companies to raise premiums and now we'll never be able to go back.  But that was Obama's plan I think.  Fūck it up enough to where we have to go complete socialized healthcare.

Agreed with both posts.  I don't know if the specific mechanics were planned, since nobody seemed to know what was in it when they voted on it.  But I think the plan was that once you throw something out there, no matter how bad, you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, and inevitably we'll get to universal health care to "fix" it.
