Let’s look at some of the differences here:

Rice did a dumb thing that resulted in property damage. McManus allegedly SA’d multiple women in view of his teammates. Rice is a promising 2nd year WR. McManus is a 32 y/o kicker. The Chiefs are 2x defending SB champions and relatively scandal free. The Commanders are a sad sack franchise with a long recent history of scandals.
