He's definitely on the decline, but I wonder how much it hurt not having a better receiving threat to compliment him lest year (more focused attention), and whether the improvements in the receiving room will help open up space underneath for him last year.  I'd give him another year of ending up a top 3 TE ('24), and then not so much after this year.

I agree 100%. My hope is that Hollywood & Worthy will open up the underneath routes for Kelce. I still think he will be the TE#1 this year, but I won't target him as early, as in the past years. I'm hoping my league mates will fade him to at least rd. #3.

you can hope.  but there will be one person in most drafts who will draft because of the name. 

hes probably a 2nd round pick.   some will still take him in round 1 even though they likely shouldnt

Knowing me & as much as I believe a top TE is the key, I will probably crater and take him mid to late 2nd if that is where I pick.

Taylor just announced the Eras Tour will end in December. This is a sign that she wants to be there for Travis' final playoff push and frat boy rush. Baby rats will ensue and the unibrow will retire at season's end.

Hell round 2 is stupid imo.

I wouldn’t take him in the third either. Or even the fourth.

Here's my prediction.   Two more years playing, one more ring for him and another for Taylor and I think that would make a 2031 first ballot HOF induction and I'll make the trip to Canton for the HOF game and induction ceremony God willing.

you are probably right.    but people will look at his playoff (which was pretty decent) and they will ignore what you just pointed out.

Hes a top 10 TE.   of that I have no doubt.  

Top 5..... maybe.   but that may be pushing it.

top 3?  no.  I'm out on that.

and likely only the top 5 or 6 deserve to be drafted before round 5 or 6  so you can probably guess (within a round) where I'd draft him (if he falls that far)

and we all know he wont fall that far, so that means I'm unlikely to draft him this year.   and I'm ok with that.

I don't think Kelce, for sure, or really any TE worth having, can be had in the "double digit" rounds. I personally prefer to have a TE that can get at least WR2 type numbers. Every year, without fail, RB's & WR's come out of nowhere, and put up good numbers - TE"s not so much. It could be because of injury to the starter ahead of them, exceeding their projections, starter underperforming, or maybe an impatient owner dropping a player that starts slow. I will pick up one of those players and continue to draft a top TE by at least round #5. In the long haul I think that will make my roster more balanced & effective.

In my 14 team full ppr I drafted J Ferguson in the double digit rounds, it was rd 10, I picked him before I went Qb,kicker,def. and I think he did pretty good.  

In my 14 half ppr, I draft H Henry in the 11th rd, looking back at the scoring in my league last season,Henry produced and avg of 14 points per game the first two games of the season, 14:2&14:2, so was very good. 

The Chubb owner who had made the mistake of taking a te in the single digit rounds named M Andrews, had also drafted Laporta, He dropped Laporta, I’m pretty sure he picked up J Ford the Chubbs back up, I picked up Laporta, I only like to roster one te, so I took the chance and I let Henry go, week 3 Henry scored 2:7 ff points , Laporta scored 18:4.  I was happy.  Thank you.

Well now.... wouldn't it be boring if we all had the same strategy. I also play in a 14 team full ppr. I have won it the past two seasons, using my "mistake" free strategy of drafting an early TE. --- Maybe ... just maybe I won the "ff gold" because others waited until the "double digit" rounds to draft their TE-QB-K-D/ST. I also picked up Ford..... but no way would I drop my TE to get him. Ford ended up RB25 ppg in my league, so I had a RB2. After I had played the Chubb owner I traded Ford & a throw in to him for Olave, who finished WR22 ppg in my league.

We play with only a four player bench and draft 12 ..... so I couldn't take a TE-QB-K-D/ST in the "double-digit" rounds even if I thought it was a sound strategy. I have enough confidence in my abilities to take an early QB & TE, and be able to draft a sleeper RB or WR2 later in the draft, or pick up one or trade for one.

I just curious ... but you said you went TE-QB-K-D/ST in rounds 10-11-12-13 .... so you draft nine RB & WR in the first nine rounds? --- If so..... "Mistakes like that, is what helps others win ff gold".

I hear you.   the fact that many of us have our own strategies makes fantasy football interesting.  if we all felt the same, we'd all draft the same way.   how fun would that be?

we all have our little things we do that make us think give us an advantage.    sometimes they work, sometimes not.

but if you are in a league for 10 years and win more than 1 championship, you have likely done better than average.   if you win 2 or more, you've crushed it.

but most importantly (hopefully) you had fun along the way.
