Iowa Supreme Court allows heartbeat abortion ban.  A heartbeat is detected around six weeks.  So any abortion taking place is called murder, I don’t understand why to many catholic accept abortions as right.

God bless them.

Amen

Thanks.

I’ve been to 29 states. There are a few more I’d like to get to.  Iowa is not one of them

I prefer most people to stay away from Iowa. I’m happy with there being fewer people here.

Best Interstate highways in the nation.  Well maintained rest areas.

Rolling green hills, some decent bluffs along the Mississippi, a few nice lakes.

Iowa is all right by me.  Perhaps folks are thinking about Nebraska.

This. We are just a few hours from a bunch of major cities, but don’t have to deal with their garbage. Ill drive if they have anything interesting that doesnt come to des Moines already.
Absolute no-brainer trade-off

People who have never been to Iowa think it’s all just flat and farms. It’s true that most of the state is farmland but it’s definitely not flat. NE Iowa is gorgeous and the Mississippi valley is incredible.

Plus Iowans have the common sense to be suspicious of F.I.B.s.

I've been to Cedar Rapids twice on business.  One time was the coldest I've ever experienced:  -30s or 40s, temperature, not windchill.  This was January of 2019 I believe.  The other time was nicer weather, but you could smell a rancid cereal odor from General Mills or whichever one was there.

On my way out of town the second time I passed a sign for the National Czech and Slovak Museum.

https://ncsml.org/

I'm 1/4 Slovak so I guess there are a lot of my people there?  Had I known about it I'd have tried to arrange time to visit the museum.

Anyway, I'm sure most of the state is beautiful, just having fun.

Yeah, KC is so fun that time of year. They do such a good job. Those Kansas versus Iowa State games are the best

I lived in CR for 4 years.  It smells terrible.  People call it the city of 5 smells.

The Quad cities are nice, so nice that the two on the Illinois side ought to be annexed inbto Iowa as illinois doesn't deserve them and frankly they don't fit in with the rest of Illinois.

Lol yep played my juco basketball in Cedar Rapids. You don’t forget that smell. Hated that city. Don’t judge the state by Cedar Rapids.
