Technically I think you probably could. The issue is typically that would hurt their legitimacy.

This isn’t a typical situation but I guess it could hurt Harris’s legitimacy.

For me, personally, I don’t really care in this situation, because if this was all some grand conspiracy to short circuit the primary process it would only backfire anyway. If Harris is so incapable of winning the primary that they had to rig some huge elaborate ruse to get her the nomination, then how in the hell would she ever win the general election??

Personally way more concerned about the precedent of a losing Prez having an army of rednecks attack the Capitol, trying to get his AG to lie about the election, trying to get his VP to not certify the results etc.
