MDC 6,822 Posted July 30, 2024 Without watching the video I’ll say Jerry Rice’s career receiving yards: 22,895. More than 5,000 more than anybody else.
patweisers44 751 Posted July 30, 2024 Cy Young's 511 wins. If you win 20 games for 20 straight years you are still 111 away. There have been three 20-game winners in the last seven seasons.

Good answer, and I've argued for Rice as the best NFL player ever for this reason (similar to my Rickey Henderson best baseball player ever argument). But... with the way the game has changed, I could see this being challenged. It would take somebody like Larry Fitz who loves/respects the game to do it, and I'm not sure the current crop of Chase/Jeff have it in them to last past their big paydays, but it could be done. cyclone24 1,912 Posted July 31, 2024 I would think Cy Young, Ripken, whoever has strikeouts, complete games, stolen bases and hits wont. Lebron scoring wont Could see Phelps getting caught. Rice? Doubtful but league is going really pass heavy so maybe

But Otto Graham also won 7 NFL Championships. From 1946-55, Hall of Famer Otto Graham and his Cleveland Browns appeared in 10 straight championship games, winning seven. I don't even consider that a player record. That's a team stat. Also Mahomes Chiefs have won 3 and he's 28 years old.
Hardcore troubadour 14,284 Posted July 31, 2024 Yogi Berra won 10 WS and played in 75 WS games. Neither of those is listed? Also race car driving and golf not sports.
weepaws 3,035 Posted July 31, 2024 Only seven hitters have 2000 strikeouts or more. So I’ll say Reggie Jackson’s 2597

There are a few receivers today who can rival Rice in his prime but I can’t imagine another one playing at a high level for so long. Rice’s career is like ten straight 1,500 seasons from age 22-32 … then right more 1,000-yard seasons til age 40. Insane. I can’t imagine anyone coming close to his record even in a 17-game season.
