What rounds are Harrison and Kupp going in your draft?

Recommended Posts

In ppr leagues where are both getting drafted? Some have Harrison as a 2nd rd or 3rd , while Kupp in being targeted in the 3rd or 4th perhaps.

Ain't drafted yet, but your estimate is consistent with mocks I've done.

And I've done way more than I care to admit.  :ninja:

Cooper Kupp I've been seeing go between the latter half of round 2 through round 4. He's been creeping up the draft boards in recent days.

Harrison, rarely makes it out of the 2nd, even seen him picked towards the end of the 1st a few times.

I just a did a draft with a bunch of other industry types. This league has a more home-league vibe.

- 12 teams, PPR, 18 rounds
- 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1TE, 1 Flex (RB, WR, TE), 1 K, 1 D/ST

2.02 - WR Marvin Harrison Jr., ARI
2.12 - WR Cooper Kupp, LAR

Harrison was the 8th WR taken, while Kupp was the 12th WR taken. Next WRs taken after Kupp were: Nico Collins, DK Metcalf, Mike Evans, Chris Olave.

That sounds pretty consistent with the mock drafts I've done the past couple of days

Not sure if this league is locked to the public, but if not, here are the Draft Results.

Each team has 2 IR spots available, which made drafting Brooks and Hollywood easier to stomach. I'll put those two on IR, then have 2 open spots for free agents once the season starts.

FFToday Mike from the 8 spot:

1) St. Brown  2) Wilson

3) Kamara 4) D. Smith

..................................................

5) A. Jones 6) D. Johnson

7) K. Murray 8)) Spears

9) Ferguson 10) Brooks

................................................

D. Johnson rather than Najee?  Gutsy decision.  Give 'em hell Mikey!

edit - didn't see Kamara in 3rd. Hmm

Been doing mocks since June, Harrison has been going in the 2nd round since then,   Kupp was going 4-5 rd, now he’s really shot up the boards, did a 14 team, and 12 team mock today at espn,  he went early 2nd both times, and taken ahead of Harrison.

RT Sports took Achane 2.0, what.  USA Today took Flowers 4:12.  What.

Touchdown wire took Adams at 2.9 with G Wilson still available.  Sportsbook review took Mostert 5:11.

And FFToday took D Johnson 6.05 with R Rice still available.

Now for the good.

Football Guys took R Rice 7.7.  That’s a great pick.

Hot of the wire took Godwin 8.04, he’s going to play the slot, he’s going to produce.

Touchdown wire 12.03. Took C Samuel, the Bills wr that will produce the most ff points.

PPR scoring swayed my decision there. I'm higher on Diontae Johnson than most. Wanted to be WR heavy going in and knew after round 2 that I was going to be weak at RB. I'll use the waiver wire to focus on RB.

I don't know about you all, but I'm taking Harrison Butker in the 5th.

I'm hoping his misogyny drops him down a couple rounds. I'll be lucky if it does.

Just got home from a 10 team PPR draft.  Harrison went 2.05 and Kupp went 3.06. So very similar to Mike's draft (within two picks).

Mmm, Kupp still went that late, I’ve been doing some 12& 14 team mocks, and the past ten days or so I’ve seen Kupp going mid 2nd rd.

Thanks for that update.

yeah it looks like Kupp's adp has shortened up.   it was in round 3 and has been getting earlier.   keep in mind that this is just in my experience.   the sample size is small

2nd round for a rookie WR seems high. If Marvin Harrison Jr had a different name would he be as valuable?  If he was Super Cubs Jr would he be ranked as high?

Depends on the overall talent of this Super Cubs Jr.  If name alone was the reason, then J Rices Son should be a 1st rd pick.

Kupp 3.4 in my 12t / 3WR start draft tonight.

MHJ 2.6

That’s a full ppr?

What am I missing here?  Harrison should be the real deal.  But why is he almost being picked at the 1st turn?  Sure in this day and age rookie WRs can produce.  But with Kyler's always questionable health and just overall not elite passing numbers....isnt his ceiling being drafted?  McBride will see plenty of targets.  I am sure they would like to establish the run game so Murray doesnt have to try and play hero ball.

By all means Harrison will be a good pro.  But it isnt set in stone yet.  Its not like he went to the Chiefs or Bills.

Does anyone else notice there isn't a lot of camp reports about Harrison?  I look for news and it's always about how they can't sell his jersey or that he thinks he's the greatest side receiver in Ohio at history.

sounds about right.   the interboard draft had numbers that were reasonably close.   I think MHJ was a couple picks later but its close enough that we are likely within the margin of error given the small sample size of results.

July mock Kupp went late third, but I've noticed his ADP has dropped since that time in all publications so 3.4 sounds pretty close to right.

I'm in a ppr league with an auction draft. 3 keepers. I'm keeping Trey McBride. I was planning on drafting Marvin Harrision Jr if he isn't bid up above where what I'm willing to pay. Realizing Harrison Jr and McBride are on the same team, is that a good plan? We start 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, and 2 Flex, and 2 TEs. And if that's a good plan, I think it's fine considering all of the starters in my league, should I target Kyler Murray too?

You will own the top two targets on Zona, I don’t see anything wrong with that.

Great minds ... drafted Brooks and Hollywood in The Huddle Auction on Tuesday night.

Just finished my big money league draft tonight, 10 team PPR. I had first pick, took McCaffrey, drafted Evans with my 2nd pick (2.10), and on the turn took Kupp at (3.1)

now our league is a bit skewed as we have keepers all over the place, and 4 of the top 12 WR we’re keepers in much later rounds.

I will be taking Kupp at the 2nd/3rd turn if he isn’t taken. Yahoo has him like 26-32nd overall and WR 15… but that seems way too low. I like him over Adams/Evans/Collins/Olave personally. He’s WR 9/10 on my board… but I could be overhyping him
