Mike Honcho 4,794 Posted September 4, 2024 Story A number of viral TikTok videos had some people believing they could get “free” cash from Chase ATMs. But it was just a glitch – and those customers were actually committing fraud, according to the bank. Over the weekend, videos appeared on the app showing people depositing checks for large sums of money at Chase ATMs and then making a withdrawal for a smaller yet substantial amount, leading them to believe they had discovered a bug and were hitting the jackpot. The problem is that this is just a form of check fraud, a criminal offense. Chase said in a statement to CNN that the issue has “been addressed” and warned people not to try it. Mike Honcho 4,794 Posted September 4, 2024 Also it sounds like they are doing what this guy - Chase deserves to lose there money if they allowed it to happen after other banks had been scammed.
F1erce 88 Posted September 4, 2024 Seen it ALL over social media. Same ppl are the ones doing it like they did the “DoorDash glitch” and the “cashapp glitch”
HellToupee 1,289 Posted September 4, 2024 I fondly remember the beginning of online shopping in the golden age of the internet and numerous coupon “glitches “. The dot com bubble and incompetence put pets.com out of business . I remember they had a $20 off with no minimum buy reusable coupon codes. That Co went down fast. Mookz 1,312 Posted September 5, 2024 I discovered a cool glitch wherein I hit passers-by over the head with a bat, and then take their sneakers. YMMV
