Could he become a safety valve for the rookie QB? he is a nice late round flyer. real problem is there is more depth than we have seen at the TE position in a long time. I think hes a real nice breakout candidate and in a deeper league you should get him as your TE2. but right now hes on my watch list and if he shows signs of a breakout I will likely pick him up. What are your thoughts on stashing Hock? depends on the type of league you are in if its a dynasty league, hes likely worth a stash. but he injured 2 ligaments. not just one. so we are looking at 18-24 months before hes where he needs to be. Likely closer to 24 than 18. This year is a total writeoff. in any redraft format I'd avoid him. ditto for keeper format. Not sure his age and injury status warrants keeping him. at this point and this age 27 you are looking at a 29 year old making a comeback this time next year. so there may be some tread on the tire still but that rookie(JJ Mccarthy) they drafted this year will be making his first starts this time next year, so the return could be rough. so in most formats... not worth a keep. deep dynasty maybe but it is also a know your league thing. how many TE's are usually kept? for the record I think if you have the chance Kmet in Chicago might be a nicer stash than Hock right now. hes a nice breakout candidate who could provide an almost immediate return.
