Sounds like Elon wants to fire many government employees

Recommended Posts

I wrote the other day that, despite his insane politics, Elon is a genius. But now I’ve been reminded that the dude purchased a company for 40 billion and now it’s worth 12 billion. So now I’m wondering…

Does this guy even want to be POTUS anymore? First he picks Weird Beard as VP, now this. His political instincts have aged in dog years.

I'm not seeing a problem here.

I’m torn.  There is a ton of waste in the federal government and most of the employees such as @Cdub100 are incredibly overpaid.   But if he makes even a fraction of the job cuts he made at Twitter the economy will go to hell with that many new unemployed people.

He did not buy it as a good business investment, he bought it to save free speech from the state-directed censorship Nazis and mass propaganda campaign of the authoritarian bastards you enthusiastically support.

Is that why he started charging people to use it?

He still has to make the company viable.   Everyone thought he was crazy for cutting so many of the employees but then the other tech companies started to follow his lead.

Not as dense as @jonmx who said he didn’t buy it to be a good business investment

Your peabrain premise is if it's not a good investment he can't try and make it more profitable (start charging for blue checks).  Normal people would try to do similar.  You must be autistic or something.

Once he got into it, he knew Twitter lied to him about the number of activie accounts to over inflate their value because many were just spam and bot accounts, at which time Elon tried to get out, but was not allowed to.

Actually most normal people thought charging for blue checks was a bad idea.

Cutting staff probably a good idea (although maybe not to the extent he did).

Pissing off advertisers, bad idea.

I literally was born and raised in Fremont CA.  Tesla started at the old Saturn/Toyota plant.   I know hella people who worked there.  It's all a scam. The products suck and they all hate Elon.  Except my one friend who was raped by an executive and Elon paid her $400K to sign a NDA.

You sound like squistion - I was born in CA so I know all about gheys and junk.

Your story sounds like hate Tesla because your friend supposedly got raped, not because it sucked.  they sure do sell a lot of cars for it being a "scam".

Oh they are popular.  My brother bought one.  But they are notorious for unhappy workers and bad quality.

i've toured the plant twice.  Basically Elon took all the Toyota tech and renamed it Tesla. And swapped out real engines for batteries.  But he hired engineers who hate him to do all the real work.   Genius i guess.

Autistic people just say stuff that pops in their head without thinking it through.  You made a half dozen claims you can't prove.  You dumb.

For the prime objective, yes.

Funny you can't put two trains of thought (motives) together in a single scenario.  What's your IQ?

Don't care, threaten to dismantle EVERY welfare program and cut gov jobs in half, take a deal after that if it includes eliminating the 80k irs agents
