try going to an emergency room in the Phoenix area with a broken arm.  You Might get in within 2 hours.  Illegals without insurance compromise roughly 60% of those waiting.  probably more.

Did you check all of their insurance information?

Hey @jonnyutah, here’s a guy that probably does need to be investigated, not the mayor.

Apparently the CEO of a staffing agency dependent on Haitians, and owns 40+ rentals under the name “Ten Enterprises”:

He did. We worked together actually. There were a few we couldnt check, so thats why he said probably more, but we forgot the Portuguese translator that week we surveyed.

so I take it you don't believe me?   believe what you want but it is true.  AZ net outlay for illegal immigrants is 1 Billion per year for education, jail time & medical.  That is after taking into account their estimated taxes paid.  I can link if you want but you probably don't want it.  fine with me.

Net positive my as##

How does it not?  If the doctor said something like “I see a lot of patients that are undocumented and don’t have health insurance,” that wouldn’t be a violation.  But pretty confident if he was specifically referring to people in the waiting area that would be.

I live in a city about 2% the population of the Valley. Roughly 11% of them are foreign-born (we're quite white here). You'd consider yourself DAMN lucky to be seen within 3 hours at the ER. This is a problem everywhere and it speaks much more to America's approach to Healthcare than it does our immigration policies.

you let in roughly 10 million in 3 1/2 years and it exacerbates the problem immensely.  Wait times are one thing, but health care costs are another.  AZ net outlay for illegal immigrant incurred expenses are 1 Billion per year.

so 5 years ago wait time was 1/2 hour & now it's 3 hours and it's our approach to healthcare?  nice deflection.

Yeah I'm sure he gave him statistics specifically for the waiting room at that very moment.  JFC

No, the wait time has sucked forever, which was part of my point.

I believe you, but again, I think you're placing too much blame on immigration issues and nowhere near enough on the healthcare boondoggle in this country.

It's not just the last four years, sorry if it seemed as though that was the point I was trying to make. It's been a long, slow downward slide and the current trajectory is unsustainable. This link goes over some of it, and here was a quote that I noticed right away:

From 1960 through 2013, health spending rose from $147 per person to $9,255 per person, an average annual increase of 8.1 percent. In comparison, per capita adjusted personal income was $2,267 in 1960, and in 2013 it reached $42,266, reflecting an average annual growth rate of 5.7 percent.  As overall health spending increased at a faster rate than personal income, household expenditures on health as a share of adjusted personal income grew from 4 percent in 1960 to 6 percent in 2013.

Like all industries, healthcare is experiencing labor shortages. Between that and regulatory agencies creating and enforcing care standards, insurance companies refusing to pay for covered services and/or requiring approval for necessary procedures, for-profit medical centers basing care on margin vs. need, and medical supply companies engaging in profiteering (IMO), the whole sector is sitting on an eroding foundation. Covid was the cherry on top, wherein all of these concerns also then became political and combative (imagine being a nurse working a double because your replacement called in sick, doing your best to care for multiple ventilated patients while one or more of those patient's relatives is telling you you're a POS because Covid is "made up" -- and yes, that absolutely happened everywhere) and burnout rates skyrocketed. On a ROI basis, becoming a doctor is not a golden ticket to financial stability that it has long been considered due to exorbitant educational costs and a hyper competitive culture both in grad school and the marketplace.

Services, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and construction cost more, insurance companies pay less, regulations become more difficult to implement and adhere to, illnesses and afflictions become more complicated, and "the best" people are not going into medicine at the rate they used to. Meanwhile, Americans poison themselves with crappy food and want a pill to take care of the ailments caused by decades of neglect or misuse of their own bodies because changing their habits is too much work.

Ok so somewhere in between my 2 scenarios, probably a gray area.

But thanks for confirming you didn’t know whether or not the people in the waiting area had insurance or not.

"Why they gotta threaten the kids"

As the racist lies swirl around Springfield, parents, students, teachers, and local officials are contending with threats that have derailed the community’s schools just weeks into the academic year.

The city has seen dozens of threats in recent weeks — targeting schools, government buildings, hospitals and stores. https://politico.com/news/2024/09/22/springfield-haitians-trump-vance-schools-cats-dogs-00180340

In a fascinating legal move, the Haitian Bridge Alliance in Springfield, Ohio, filed criminal charges against Donald Trump and JD Vance based on their “baseless fearmongering” about Haitian immigrants eating neighbors’ pets.

In Ohio: private citizens can file an affidavit charging criminal offenses and the court must either issue an arrest warrant or refer it to the prosecuting attorney for investigation.

50% of Haitians would eat feces in a milisecond if some woman with chicken bones and blood told them they had to.

Why do people think the dominican republic told the UN to piss off and that they werent going to stop throwing the haitians back over the wall.

But, but, but this one guy in a video said he wants 30 more!

Its no different than with the hamastanians. Everybody next door knows exactly what kind of people they are dealing with. Thats why they refuse to let them in and will shoot them if they try.

Haitians cant even farm and fish. They literally eat dirt.

They burned 60 tons of seed because they were too stupid to grow it.

Countless charities work round the clock there and nothing ever changes.

Importing haitians is almost as dumb as letting hauck anywhere near kids.

So you believe this about the Haitians that came here, yet still think the mayor is “packing them in” (your words) in properties directly adjacent to his business?  Do you realize how hypocritical that sounds?

I do think it’s worth noting that numerous social media rage farmers went to Springfield and none that I saw were able to get any evidence of the Haitians being anything but respectful. Tyler Oliveira interviewed several, even asked them if they ate cats and they all just laughed it off and often seem confused that he was even asking the question. Of course it wasn’t hard for him to find rednecks calling the Haitians “sand monkeys,” or refusing to say that neo-Nazis were bad.
