Waivers - Week 1

Recommended Posts

Who should I/We Target?

Waiver Order (4 of 12)

My Team

QB - Dak, Mayfield

RB - John Taylor, Mixon, Conner

WR's - Nacua, Cooper, Hollywood, Cooks, Oduze and Demario Douglas

TE- Kelce, Conklin

D Ravens and SEA

K- Moody

12 Team Flex, PPR

Who should I be targeting?

My WR's are in bad shape. Nacua is injured the rest are middle of the road.

I also could prolly use another RB for insurance.

Flex is another option.

I only watched a couple of games (Chiefs/Ravens and the Giants/Vikings) So I'm not sure which direction to go in.

Likely would be a great add imo. Not sure if he'll last to 4.

Jeudy is avail. I dropped him to pick up Mayfield.

Thoughts?

TIA

Hard to tell without knowing who's available, but I'll try to guess...

  1. Likely
  2. Doubs
  3. Alec Pierce - Richardson completed 9 damn passes
  4. Alexander Mattison - Zamir looked like he was sleep walking throughout the first half and finally woke up a bit in the second in time to fumble
  5. Jeudy - I was never a big fan of him and his softness.
  6. Bucky Irving
  7. Tyler Johnson - I was actually a big fan of his in dynasty when he came out, so this may be my bias.  He never seemed to be able to crack the rotation in Tampa Bay or when he had a cup of coffee with Houston.

Drop Conklin and Pop.  likely is probably the only one I'd want to use the number 4 waiver priority on.

And since you're going to drop Conklin anyway, you might as well drop him for Jordan Mason before tonight's game in case McCaffery happens to get hurt.

When CMAC doesn't get hurt, you can just drop Mason.

I like the way you think.   using the waiver rules to your advantage.

Thats good.

IMO fixing this looks like a bigger priority than TE.

Any waiver wire WR's you recommend?

How do we feel about Lazard after last night? Obviously there's history with Rodgers but even when Taylor came in he was targeting him. Wondering if this is real or just a one week smoke show.

I wouldn’t load up on Lazard.  But I would pick him up if he’s better than what you now have.

agree.  hes good in deeper leagues.

right now hes benefitting from the fact he has a good relationship with Rodgers.    the defense blanketed the other options in the pass game fairly effectively.

Funny you say in deeper leagues, in both of my 14 team leagues, he’s still available.

these are the leagues where he should have been rostered the most.

but after this week 1 I suspect he will be rostered mostly across the board.

at the end of the day I dont think this performance is totally out of the range of outcomes for him.   hes had good games before but in the end, hes a #2 guy not a # 1 so hes probably a matchup play most weeks.

Help!

I have Achane. I heard he has a high ankle sprain. I can't confirm that though. My other RBs are Bijan, Brian Robinson Jr and JK Dobbins and Jaleel McLaughlin.

Is Jaylen Wright or Jeff Wilson Jr the rb to add for the Miami offense?  I think it's Wright. He's a rookie with 4.4 speed and productive at Tennessee in college. Wilson was active last week because he plays special teams. Wright was inactive because he does not play special teams, and they obviously had Achane and Mostert (who is also hurt with a chest injury whatever that means).

Miami plays Thursday night, although it's unlikely I would start a Dolphins back this week.

I'm in a must start 2 QB league.

We start 2 RBs and a Flex.

I feel that Russell Wilson is my most droppable player. I start Justin Fields or Derek Carr now that Jordan Love is injured. My other QB is injury prone Anthony Richardson. If Russell Wilson gets to start for the Steelers this year I could use/start him. Other drop options are Tyler Allgeier (I have Bijan), Jonathan Brooks (CAR rookie Running back), Hollywood Brown, Christian Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, Jaleel McLaughlin.

He’s going to be pickup I’m sure.
