In CA, the teachers union is one of THE largest campaign funders for Democrats; governor/president, etc. 

But we are a blue state, so that makes sense.

I'm just saying there are teamsters that are pro gun and pro LGBTQ. There are teachers who are pro gun and anti LGBTQ. People aren't one thing. Most are far more complex than that. You aren't, because you just parrot whatever other people say.

I'm not saying the money is equal or any of that. I'm saying though that much of what is done in a school is done at a local level. There are politicians at local levels who are good champions of educational systems and if they are we get "recommended" to vote for them.
