Spermoff: movies from your youth you still love

Recommended Posts

Big Trouble in Little China thread got me thinking about other movies from the 80s that I still love.

Aside from the other John Carpenter movies already mentioned in that thread what are some movies from your youth that you still love and watch occasionally?

Need to toss Conan the Barbarian on the list.  Just watched it again after the passing of James Earl Jones.  Crom!

54 year old me still appreciates the nudity as much as 13 year old me did.

Even my office celebrated my double nickel’s birthday as me being Jake. Blues Brothers all time favorite!

Smokey & The Bandit

I can't tell you how many times I've seen that movie. Hundreds. And the next time I'm surfing channels and see it on, I'll watch it again.

Flash Gordon

It seemed like this movie was on HBO every damn day one summer.  Cheesy as hell but in a good way.  Great soundtrack of course.

Did you know both Duke Boys are in that movie? Tom in a dinner scene I believe and John at the end in the crowd cheering.

Did you know that Queen did that soundtrack and the one for Highlander. Great soundtracks.

Not sure if Animal House was from the 80s ?

To Live & Die In LA: The printing press & plates that Willem Dafoe's character used to counterfeit, were the exact same ones I used when I worked for a printing firm a couple years earlier.

Did I think about it ? Yes, did I actually try it...........nope!
