gcmmidwest 149 Posted September 23, 2024 Rico Dowdle Zamir White Allen Lazard Jaleel McLaughlin ,.......Anybody else or think these bums are worth holding? Actually there's nothing to replace them with yet but there on the chopping block and do not draft ever again list
nobody 2,527 Posted September 23, 2024 I'd probably keep Rico and Lazard. Rico took over as the starter this week even though it wasn't an overly productive day. And as long as Lazard is friends with Rodgers, he's a decent WR4-WR5. I guess you could drop him for a lottery ticket if you don't think he'd ever start for you. Zamir isn't even getting the goal line work and isn't doing much with his volume anyway. Broncos offense is too ineffective to worry about keeping McLaughlin

GobbleDog 942 Posted September 23, 2024 Raiders coach said last year, and reiterated again just last week "we want our Rb to get 20+ carries." That's hard to do when the o-line isn't blocking, they don't convert 3rd downs, and the defense can't get opponents off the field and score gets out of hand. Antonio Pierce wants the Raiders to be run-oriented team, but so far it's been a perfect storm of everything going wrong. I'm still holding out hope for Z. White. Outside of his TD in week 1 he's done nothing. well, I am going to say something I have said many times. the RB's production largely depends on how the team is doing. if the team is winning, that RB will get all kinds of late game garbage time carries. to be blunt, the Cowboys have not been winning. to make the situation worse, The line has grossly underperformed and they are very vulnerable to runs up the middle as a defense. and that kills the clock as well. so the number of total plays from scrimage drops significantly if you can successfully run on a team for a nice long drive. the Boys are (at least in part) a victim of their own poor run defense. Lets put it this way, if you are giving up over 150 yards per game on the ground, your chances of winning are not very good and usually your run game disappears by halftime (or shortly thereafter) Zeke has value in a matchup where the Boys expect to get the early lead. then they will just give them lots of Zeke on some power runs. Though now, this Dallas line which has been good for so long is starting to show its age a bit. They have not been great either. so its dicey. I dont know that I'd drop Zeke yet. but hes not a starter. hes a matchup play.
GobbleDog 942 Posted September 23, 2024 I was wrong about a few pre-draft predictions... Barkley is better than expected, Achane's usage is higher than assumed, etc. One prediction I nailed - Zeke was not even worthy of a roster spot. It's early so I could still be proven wrong, but at this point I'm more certain than I was a month ago. I'd drop him if he was stink'n up my bench... not only would it free up a roster spot for a lotto pick, but also waste a roster spot of whichever poor sucker picks him up, and god forbid ever starts him. I disagree with Ray... I don't think it matters if Cowboys are winning or losing. Their hot-seat coach isn't gonna feed Zeke just for nostalgia. He needs producers and Zeke's 3.3 ypc ain't doing it. Week 1, on 12 touches, Elliott had 12.9 ppr points, so about 1 point per touch. For the season, he's averaging 0.846 points per touch. Jahmyr Gibbs is RB12 right now (in ppr), averaging 1 point per touch. Maybe if Dallas didn't get blown out W2 and getting blown out W3, Elliott could still be getting about a point per touch. Week 1, he was RB24. I don't think anyone said he'd be an RB2, I believe everyone was of the mindset that he'd be an RB3/4. Over 3 games, averaging about .85 points per touch seems like a guy who'd get about 10-12 points a week which falls into the RB3/RB4 range. In PPR leagues, he's RB41, which means that if you're in a 12 team league, there's a very high chance that the RB you pick up will be worse than him.
TBayXXXVII 2,441 Posted September 23, 2024 It's only 3 weeks. I don't think we've really seen much of anyone to say we know who these guys are. Seriously, look at the TE position, outside of Bowers, every other TE is droppable. LOL Geodert, had a 27 point game, the other 2, he totaled 14. The only reason he even got 27 was because Brown was out. Kmet is no different... 25 points this week, only 8 the first 2 weeks combined. LaPorta wasn't doing anything before he got hurt. He had 12 total points in the first 2 games. Kelce doesn't even have 70 total yards yet.

I've been targetting him late in drafts and that is finally starting to pay some dividends. first game was rough, but after that hes looked pretty good. in fact, hes looked at times like he may actually be the #1 WR in that offense. I dont think this is a long term situation. London is the long term play, but he hasnt established that connection with Cousins just yet. when he does, it will be scary. But I was pretty sure Mooney would be good there. Cousins actually had a hand in recruiting him. HE wanted him there. so I knew he would likely perform well early. obviously Cousins saw something in his game that he (as a QB) likes so I figured an early connection may happen there. But I still think London is the guy to own there, you just need to be patient

Broncos offense is, of course, terrible so it should be a low-scoring close game with Raiders getting plenty of possessions. Adams might be traded by then, or possibly just out for injury. Never know... game script might work out well for White - assuming he doesn't fumble again. As for Corum, it probably will require a Kyren injury because he seems to be hitting his stride. Some wondered if the Rams might go back to the rbbc system McVay historically used, but hasn't been true so far.
