Let me explain this to you how this manipulation works.   If it is truly a close race, the media lies that their candidate is winning by 10 points and it makes voters feel hopeless so they stay home.  It has the effect of suppressing the vote.  Not changing who they vote for,  but impacting who goes out and votes.   In this case, Trump is up 5 plus points in many of the so-called swing states.  If Harris voters knew the truth, they would be depressed and would more likily stay at home.  But instead they are fed lies saying it is a toss-up to keep up their spirits and give them motivation to vote.   This is going to be an embarrassing loss for Harris and most of the polls will be shown to have been a good 5 points off in favor of Harris.  Somehow most pollsters always error on the side of Democrats, which is statistically impossible if polling was honest.
