easilyscan 716 Posted October 8 He's had a couple devastating injuries in his career, but he's nearing a return. As expected, most reports say he's looking good. Unfortunately, there's a huge difference between practice and the real thing. My guess is that that he's already rostered in most leagues, If not, are any of you considering picking him up ? (already rostered in my league)
ThatDude 12 Posted October 8 Looking for him to save my season after watching my #1 overall pick(CMC), 3rd pick (Kupp), and many other injuries sit on my bench weekly

(already rostered in my league) If by some miracle, he's on the waiver wire, I'd absolutely pick him up. There has to be at least 1 guy on your roster worth dropping. Now, what would I expect from him? Not much. Here's the thing, I know what his potential/upside is. If he's healthy and is just 50% of what he was, he's better than the guy you cut. If he's 70% of what he was, he's at worst a flex start.
polecatt 471 Posted October 8 If you need an RB, sure. I think you just have to really temper expectations with a guy like him. Sure, you want the guy who is gonna rush for 1500 yards and 12 TDs but a much more realistic expectation is he's decent RB depth but not a guy you want to rely on to start each week. kilroy69 1,162 Posted October 8 EVEN if he comes back to form. He is playing for the browns who have arguably the worst QB in the nfl. I would take every single starter, flacco and Winston over him any day of the week. Even the rookie QBs are better than he is. So Chubb coming back off injury is going to be tossed into stacked boxes because Watson is focking putrid.
weepaws 3,008 Posted October 8 Not available, he’s rostered already in both of my leagues, and we don’t have an IR slot.

I'd say he has a better chance of doing it next year but there is a fair chance that he is actually done. but you know what? I thought that Dobbins was done. took him on a lark in one of my drafts to be my RB4 and it was ok but I'm still not sold on him as a long term player. so there is always a chance. and if you are in dire need at RB, why not make a roster space for him. but keep your expectations realistic. there is not a great chance this works out this season. the injury he had is likely an 18 month recovery in most cases. hes not 18 months into his recovery so unless he heals like ADP its not likely to happen. SaintsInDome2006 211 Posted October 9 The biggest challenge isn't Chubb's health it's Watson leading that offense.

TBayXXXVII 2,391 Posted October 9 Watson isn't an issue. Last year, Ford was RB16 with Watson and the other crappy QB's. If you exclude Wk 1 when Chubb was there/healthy, Ford was RB14. I know, Flacco... but from Weeks 13-17 when Flacco started, Ford was RB14. Chubb's production will be based on how healthy he is because even if the run game isn't working because teams don't fear the pass... Chubb will have 7 catches for 70 yards and still put up 14+ points.
BuschWack 59 Posted October 11 IMO.. the Brownies will not bring back Chubb as a "bellcow" RB in any fashion this year. With a record of 1-4, why would they? They'll ease him in, and keep a RBBC outlook. If the Brownies somehow rattle off enough wins to have playoff hopes, then, and only then would they make Chubb a majority carry type RB and that would depend on a lot of things. They should be fire saling anying good and stocking up draft picks because the only way they are going to get out of the bullshitt that is watsons contract is to draft players they can control for cheap. Cooper should be gone, Chubb should be gone, Njoku should be gone. They should blow up that team. They should be doing everything in their power to tank for Arch manning. Trade as much draft capitol as you can to get extra picks to package and tank like a tank had never tanked. Let watson fail throwing to practice squad players. He is not doing any better with real players.

TimHauck 2,449 Posted November 12 Is there hope for Chubb this season? He’s getting a decent amount of opportunities, but not doing much with them
easilyscan 716 Posted November 13 The matchups in all three games have been pretty tough. Should be easier this week. We'll see. 7 Cin (23rd) Final L 14-21 8 Bal (28th) Final W 29-24 9 LAC (26th) Final L 10-
weepaws 3,008 Posted November 13 He’s getting touches, always hope, but that team is in so much trouble. I’m sure he’s going to have a few Chubb quality games.
