Trade: Diontae Johnson Headed to the Ravens

Recommended Posts

Mm. Interesting, very good move for DJ and the Ravens, it’s very difficult to be a successful wr in Football, without a Qb.  Now he’s going to have one.

I don't understand Carolina. They give up a good player and a 6th for a 5th? Dumb. Seems a give-a-way. They should have said, " Ok. Great! let us call Houston and we'll get back to you."

Stupid organization run by stupid people making stupid decisions.

Agree that it's a good move for DJ & the Ravens in real football, not so much for FF purposes. Downgrade all the raven receivers/tight ends. Dilution. For FF, I think Xavier Legette will be the biggest beneficiary, especially if Dalton returns.

Agree. Given Johnson style of receiver, he really needs to be THE guy to have value. Now he’s just another guy on a run heavy team.

So true, the Ravens top wr based on ff points per game in ppr, is Flowers at 29th.  Not good for ff.

But good for the team success

Henry rush avg is 6.4, that’s amazing.

This may be an upgrade for the Ravens, but it isn't an upgrade for Diontae owners. When are teams going to start putting fantasy first?

The Ravens put ff first, they keep feeding Henry.  Thanks

it is worth noting that they cant run him into the ground.

I think its good to restrict his carries until the post season.   post season you wanna take full advantage of this.   You want this guy a little fresh rolling into the post season so that you have the ability to do this.

I'm pretty sure thats why Henry isnt seeing the level of usage you all are wanting.    and given his age, I'd likely do the same.   Lean on him heavy when it REALLY matters.

anything over 6 yards per carry is basically unstoppable at any level.

I was sort of shocked when I saw this..........

Henry has 145 carries which puts him on pace for around 300 carries in the regular season which is something he can do with ease. Getting a bye would likely rest him more than limiting his carries in games they should be winning.

So now Diontae, Bateman, and especially Flowers are all unusable.

Have been most of the season anyway, so no big lost.

its also possible one of them had an unreported injury and is about to go under the knife once the new guy gets up to speed.

though you are probably right.     it is possible that one will rise above the rest and remain fantasy relevant, but Jackson really doesnt throw the ball enough for 3  possibly even 2 of them to be fantasy relevant.

Best has been Flowers, he’s 29th in ppr avg points per game,  not much.

Great news for Henry owners.  Another weapon to keep drives alive for him to fall into the end zone.
