In the long term my sense is the polarization, divisive rhetoric, calls to violence and the general breakdown of democracy will not be improving.

If Trump wins I will congratulate those here who supported him, and hope for the best. He will be my President, and you don’t stop rooting for your team because you can’t stand the head coach. 

If and when he tries to do things I strongly oppose, like impose tariffs, start mass deportations, cut off support to Ukraine, etc, I will hope he is prevented as much as possible by Congress, and if that fails, in the next election. What else is there?

If he wants to match Obama I have no problem with that. I don’t really approve of deporting anyone who isn’t a violent felon but I can accept it. Mass deportation is a very different animal.
