Well, when I say whack jobs that’s code for radical women.

Yep. Congrats. Let's all hope that those of us that despise our POTUS elect are wrong about his motivations and what he'll do when back in office. I'd be ecstatic to be mistaken.

If Trump follows through with his no tax on Social Security that’s gonna  be huge for the republicans. I pity anyone that votes against it.

If we are lucky as a country this election will lead to some soul searching for the Democratic party so they can go back to offering solid candidates as well and centralize themselves again so we have 2 functioning parties offering real choice. But their record makes me think that won't happen.

I'm a little concerned about the White House, Senate, House, and Supreme Court all being under GOP control (despite the last one intended to be impartial) because no one party should have that much control. It wrecks the checks and balance flow of the governmental system.

What do you think the Democrats should do?

Wasn't this the case in Trump's first 2 years in office?

There’s no silver bullet. I’d like to see the party shift toward economic populism and kitchen table politics: jobs, healthcare, housing, education. They spend a lot of time on nonsense.

Building up a bench roster of candidates who don’t come off like bloodless Clinton-type strivers. I think Walz would have been a better candidate than Kamala this time.

Biden really focked the party good when he didn’t bow out last year.

Come up with a better message to sell to blue collar voters in states. And focus more on the issues that are important to majority of Americans.

I'm not saying completely ignore LGBTQIA+ individuals but understand that it is 7.6% of adults- and they do not all vote Democrat. But don't make appealing to them a pillar of your platform. Everyone who saw exit polls knew this was about the economy and as I pointed out many times- even though people thought they were personally doing well the economy was not good overall.

But even if you think you are doing right thing, and probably are to protect the LGBTQIA+ (as an example)- that doesn't appeal to a large voting bloc....so downplay it

The democrat party screwed themselves in 2020 by hiding him and pretending he was perfectly functional

I'm not speaking to Trump in general on that......I just don't like it in general ever. Democrats shouldn't ever have that power either.

In Missouri, the amendment will remarkably expand access to abortion, which is currently banned with no exceptions for rape or incest. Similarly in Arizona, the amendment is expected to overturn the state’s ban on abortions 15 weeks into pregnancy.

It seems some red states have liberal values.

Pretty big statement our nation made last night, and congrats to the Republicans. The stock market today sure responded positively to the outcome. I know that this will be a plus for my industry.

You should be thanking us, not congratulating us. In the UK people are thrown in jail because of tweets. The democrats were the ones sliding that idea into their discourse. Gates, Hilary, Kerry. Oh but I'm sure they definitely weren't actually going to do it like the UK did. If you voted for Kamala you have no clue what you were marching us toward.

Enjoy your better country. Be thankful that we voted out the fascists. The democrats are literally the fascists.

I don't really see it as an issue as long as the federal government stays out of the states' business and don't overstep their bounds.

I'm guessing it's probably happened multiple times in our 200+ years.  I'd be curious to see what transpired during those tenures.

Disagree on Walz, he seems like a lightweight to me. Kamala turned out to be better than I expected. Certainly some room for criticism but I don’t think you can blame the candidate for this one.

But I do agree with dropping the cultural stuff. Woke hurts democrats. Frankly I’m ready to cut lgbtq lose, we lose too much by being their champion.

But the economy is actually doing great. The issue was inflation in the past. I guess the only thing that could’ve been done about that Biden could have dialed back stimulus, but ironically, the economy would’ve been much worse off for it.

Perhaps it was just an unwinnable hand with the COVID recession threatening a Great Depression, and the only thing you could do to avoid that was piss everyone off with inflation.

I do agree re lgbtq. I would actually jettison them altogether. I’m tired of democrats being looked at to protect everyone from republicans. Focking do it yourselves

I actually appreciate the responses by libs in here.  But it is funny, fight tooth and nail over LGBT stuff.  Act like the T stuff is normal.  And now want to basically leave these people at the curb.  I understand politics is about winning and votes.  But it is hilarious.

I know both parties do it...its politics.  But to be blunt, I feel more people believe the left is less authentic than the right.  Virtue signaling is real and every day people can start to see it isnt authentic.  Right or wrong people admire authenticity.

I know the economy is doing fine I've said as much numerous times. But as I've also said- people's perceptions of the economy are not matching up with the reality.
