Horseman 1,987 Posted November 6 My Top 5 1 - Immigration. Close the boarder and deport illegals. 2 - Tax Reform. Extend and/or enhance Tax Reform that is about to sunset. 3 - Healthcare. Fix the Affordable Care Act. At a minimum fix the cliff that sunsets this year, make healthcare more available and affordable. 4 - Eliminate SS Tax. A campaign promise that once enacted won't be reversed by the next administrations imo. 5 - Energy. Drill baby drill. I think this will have a bigger impact on making America great again than his tariff proposals. Go!

Strike 4,814 Posted November 6 I'll have to think more about it for a full list but closing the border has to be #1. And quit giving those freeloaders that came here under Biden free money. I'll never understand that. Even if we can't stop you from crossing our border, we don't have to pay for you to stay at 4 star hotels on the taxpayer's dime. RLLD 3,928 Posted November 6 1 - Immigration : Get back to disincentivizing migration, close the border as fast as he can, collaborate with Mexico and others to stem the tide; begin deporting criminals. But also, get some reform on immigration in play 2 - Economy : Ensure the energy industry clearly understands he is not going to impede them, this factor alone will help a wide range of people; Implement his ideas around reducing tax burdens on the lower class. TARIFFS! These will not really impact the lower classes, they might impact the affluent, but last time they did not so I trust Trump to handle this 3 - Global Peace - Get us back on track, 4- DOJ and alllllll their minions......CLEAN THEM THE FOCK OUT.... put leaders in place who will route out all those partisans who pointedly protected Democrat criminals while allowing lawfare against Republicans. But also, get some reform on immigration in play STOP THIS. FULL STOP. There is no "but get some reform on immigration in play." We allow more incoming, legal immigration than any country on the planet. Don't spew Dem talking points. There MIGHT be some tweaking we can do to our immigration system BUT that's AFTER we get control of our border and MOST of the illegals out. We have no obligation to LET people come in to our country unless it benefits US. We were supposed to have this illegal immigration thing under control when Reagan gave up amnesty for a strong border and workplace enforcement back in 1986 (IIRC). Funnily, the government forgot about the border and workplace enforcement parts of that bill as soon as amnesty was granted. So I'm not doing "immigration reform", meaning making millions of illegals legal, BEFORE getting the incoming flow slowed to a trickle. 1
iam90sbaby 2,300 Posted November 6 1. Deport all illegals and repeal the immigration act of 65. This immediately fixes everything else.

Horseman 1,987 Posted November 6 If I'm being honest, and selfish, #3 has me the most worried. Trump doesn't want to do anything with the ACA because it's Obama's legislation. He'd just as soon get rid of it, but he can't because it's popular. There isn't any other affordable option for early retirees. There are a lot of things wrong with it though that could and should be made a lot better.

Then we make more money. Do you think those country's don't need money? For many of them oil drives their economy. They usually lower output to drive up prices. They lose that leverage when we are producing in excess of our needs.

And what I hated most about the ACA was that it didn't address the actual problem, which is the cost of healthcare. And I believe there are things we can do to lower the cost of healthcare. And lowering the cost of healthcare would then lower the cost of health insurance, etc.....So put that at #2 on my list.

But you can't have a MAGI over 80K and if you screw that up you have to pay all the subsidies back at tax time. I think one of the Covid bills fixed that so you just got a smaller subsidy if you went over 80K, but, that expires this year. All that really limits you being able to cash out your 401k type retirement fund money.

What I liked about Trump in his last term is he made it clear if you come here, you WILL be sent back. We need that message out there again. 2) immediately revoke the EV mandates. All of them. Day one. Stop with the forced government intervention into our lives. Let the market dictate it. 3) Stop the forgiveness of Student loans madness. Those are my top three right now.
