Cedric Tillman WR, Browns

Recommended Posts

Is he a new star in the making? Or just another flash in the pan?

Since Amari Cooper has been traded, he's been the guy to benefit...

In the 3 games without Amari, he has 21 catches, 255 yds, 3 TDs

He's a 2nd year guy, the last 3 games are about equal to his career stats before, minus the TDs

I like him. Yes, the TD last week was complete garbage time, but he's had targets, excellent catch rate, yards, and has scored. The schedule going forward isn't great but he seems to be the guy for Winston.

For comparison, Tillman was available in one league for me but I have Lamb, Metcalf, Pickens, and Downs. I didn't wanna give up any of them. With AR coming back, I just cut Downs for Tillman.

I think he’s the best wr they currently have.

With Metcalf back from his injury, I would go with Tillman , but it’s a tough decision.

Despite what's written in the Shot Caller's Report, I'm starting him in my flex over Jayden roller coaster Reed this week.

Reed is very frustrating.

Agreed. People might see his 5 for 113 line last week and be impressed but 41 of those came on a deep pass at the end of the 2nd quarter with the Lions in prevent defense, so could have been 4 for 72.

Either way that's only 9 catches on 13 targets for 178 in his last 3 games, all with very favorable WR matchups. Probably on my bench until weeks 14/15 (@Det @Sea).

I might need to start him on my 14 team non ppr, I can’t decide yet.  Sad, lol.

Love Cedric Tillman.  Was high on him as a rookie in dynasty formats. The move from Watson to Winston was a big help and obviously the trade of Cooper. At this point, we know what Elijah Moore is. We are probably getting close to knowing exactly what Jeudy is, as well.  Tillman has the untapped potential here, imo. Not saying he is quite as good as his numbers the last 3 games but garbage time counts for FF and those guys are often the ones who can win you your leagues.

I'm hopeful that Lockett's #'s go up now that DK is back......seems he does better with a full house.

Browns activated Kadarius Toney; that might actually help Tillman get open for a deep pass catch from Jameis Winston. Toney has some decent game experience with winning 2 super bowls etc.

Also something of a Winston “revenge” game which might have him a little extra fired up to stick it to the saints. Another one I’m having trouble with is Chubb or Montgomery at rb2. I keep moving them back and forth into my lineup to see which looks better. Do I dare go all in on browns offense with Tillman and chubb?

Going against him this week so he is good for at least 5 catches for 70-100 yds and a TD.

He has 2 catches for 25 yds early in the 4th...

Jerry Jeudy is the hero this game

But...he still had 8 targets. I wasn't watching the game so no idea why he only caught 3 of 8 passes (his fault? Winston's fault?) but I'm not buying the Elijah Moore hype. Yet. The FFToday wire article highlights Moore and his average of 9 targets in the last 4 games. Well guess what? Tillman is averaging TEN in that same stretch so don't be fooled (by Tillman or Moore).

Good to know, Adams on a Bye so I have to play Tillman.

Me too. Although I am considering Otton IF Evans doesn't play. I've never played a TE in the flex spot and not crazy about the idea but Otton has been money. I'm probably going to end up starting Tillman though and crossing my fingers. Jameis will need to sling the rock the whole game.

Otton might actually be better if Evans does play.

Think I'm benching Tillman this week. Supposed to be cold, rainy, and windy in Cleveland at gametime...

I've never started a TE in the flex but either, but I definitely like the idea. Only concern is the Giants being very good when it comes to covering TE's

12 @NYG (32nd) Sun 12:00 PM 336.93 - - - - - - - - -
13 @Car (2nd) 3:05 PM 345.64 - - - - - - - - -
14 LV (1st) 12:00 PM 331.06 -

On the other hand, that rating could be skewed because of the caliber of TE's they've faced over the past 5 weeks.

Games with Evans, Otton avg about 4 points, without, 12 points.

You are conveniently ignoring that most of those games with Evans, Godwin was also gobbling up a bunch of targets.  The last few games, Otton was essentially the #1 target and defenses were beginning to adjust.  Evans would likely take a lot of defensive attention away from Otton again.

Or the fact that they're so bad at stopping the run that no one needs to pass on them

To update the weather in Cleveland tonight: They are now predicting rain/snow mix with potentially heavy snowfall for most if not all the game. On the plus side the winds are now predicted to be lower more in the 10-15 mph range. Still, likely to bench Tillman...

That’s the kind of weather that feels right for a pitts Cleveland game. Side note Tillman or Chubb at flex tonight? 1 pt ppr

Ugh. I mean my Najee start seems good but what to do with Tillman...not much on waiver wire. Maybe I bench him and plan on Otton. They've both got about the same projected points.

Thinking of benching Jeudy for NWI for just that reason.
