mmmmm...beer 781 Posted November 22 So we have a Dyson SV11 V7 Animal Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner. Love the thing as it's pretty powerful, and easy to carry around the house. The only thing is if you have it on max power it lasts like 5-10 minutes max. I've tried replacing the battery a couple times, and it still doesn't really hold a long enough charge to get all the jobs done you want if you're doing some quick cleaning. I was tooling around at night on the interwebs I think looking at the Instagrams earlier this summer and saw a video on this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B19KTKRT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I don't think it was the exact one, but I just looked on Amazon as I don't just click on links in Instagram to products as I'm not over trusting. It's a converter that will replace the Dyson factory battery and make it so you can use your DeWalt batteries from your drill or what have you and it was supposed to last way longer. I have a couple of those DeWalt batteries so I decided to give it a shot for $20 bucks. I've had it for about a month now and I love it. I can use that thing for way way longer, and if I use up the current battery, I pop into the storage room where I've got the other one charged. It's been a game changer. Anyway.... I give it 8 of the 10 stars. Only 8 because if you use it at length on fully max it seems to sort of overheat and you've got to wait a few seconds before you turn it on. So it's like a full max for 10 seconds... let up on it for a sec, rinse repeat. Cool little mod....

jerryskids 6,174 Posted November 22 We have one, maybe the same you described. Never run it on max power; on auto sense or whatever the battery lasts forever. We have mostly tile tho, and no big furry dogs shedding all over the place. We had a problem with the battery working at all. At first they shipped us a new one, and that seemed to work for a short while, then same problem. They asked me to bring it into their store (they have a physical one here), they diagnosed it and ended up replacing the entire base that the battery plugs into, all for free under warranty. This was several years ago, it has worked great since.
HellToupee 1,254 Posted November 22 We have a dyson v15 but use it in conjunction with a robot vac. These robot vacs really get expensive

Noticed you're not quite as toxic or visceral with your anger as you were. You seemed to be spiraling down a dark way there for a bit. Figured you either got tired of it, or something changed in your life. I'm glad it was the something changed for the good! Congrats on the new start and good living!
