Did you STFU when your cult leader lost in 2020?

I can't wait to watch you chromosome-challenged fire ants scurry around when I start kicking mounds in January.

You can look as hard as you like through this list of idiots, gutternuts, pimpledoosh, timmy, mdcack, and wormy, and you won't find even one intelligent brain cell. Throw in moonpie and the squiddy, and you still got nothing.

You HAVE to be stupid to be a liberal. It's a requirement.

Go Trump!!

It's a fascinating sociological phenomenon.  The admitted Lefties on this site (Tim, Worms, Squissy) seem to be doing well and wishing the country success, but the alleged conservatives who have TDS (Gutter, Rusty) are apoplectic and seem to want the country to epically fail.

It's going to be a fun 4 years watching these virtue-signaling women rooting for our country to do poorly.

I'm not rooting for the country to fail. I have serious concerns about the ramifications of what a crazy failure of a man has said he's going to do.

I'd love it if he ended the Ukraine war, curtailed illegal immigration, put our economy into high gear and led this nation into unprecedented prosperity.

I'm tan, rested and ready for your boy to do all that he has promised to do!

Awww.  Dry your tears. I know that you still can't get over the shellacking you took in the election, but it's time to move on and heal instead of lashing out like a small petulant child.

That's not a new trumpist thing. That's an every one thing. You sensitive snowflake liberals haven't taken defeat very well in your epic shellacking so you deserve all of the scorn you get.

Time to heal and move on like grown adults.

If the subject matter weren’t so serious this thread would be hilarious. All of those opposed to the new tariffs have offered serious reasons why (inflation is only one of them; there are all sorts of negative ramifications for employment, industrial growth, the entire economy.)

Meanwhile, on the other, pro-tariff side, this is what we get:

You liberals are all idiots!

You lost, sit down and shut up!

Maybe they’ll use this to replace income tax .

Oh, NOW you care about inflation!

Fock Mexico! Fock China!

Not one serious argument in defense of what Trump is proposing. The closest is the rather vague notion that this is grandstanding and Trump will get a “better deal”. What sort of better deal will we get from Mexico and Canada? No answer.

The funniest thing is I know that many of you, if not most, don’t even like tariffs. Interference in the free market has never been, you know, exactly a conservative ideal. But once again “owning the libs” is really the only thing that matters for most of you. Your heads are all so far up Trump’s ass that you’ll support any idea he has, no matter how crazy or stupid, if it appears to “own the libs” even for a short time.  Your posts prove it.

The American people have spoken. President Trump has been given a mandate.  Tariffs it is. Now you losers that lost should simmer down. Elections have consequences.  Thanks Barry.

I don’t believe he’ll do it. Economic suicide

Markets reacting.

He's said tariff is the most beautiful word in the dictionary, he said we're a tariff nation, he's said we'll bring in billions of dollars and pay off the debt from tariffs.  He's now put his plan out there, at least initial plan.  But you still don't believe he will do it?

It just shows you how they only care about Trump.  They voted against their own best interests and now they are cheering against their own best interests because they worship Trump.

Geek club: eggs are too expensive vote trump.

Also geek club: I don't care about the price of eggs I just love Trump.

The United States imports less than 1% of the eggs we consume.

"The price of eggs" is a euphemism, FYI.  It's been used recently to describe the maga thought process of the cost of good being too high yet voting against the cost of goods going down.  HTH.

Tariffs won't affect egg prices like you suggested.

Again, I wasn't suggesting that, it's just a term that describes the general prices of things.

Allow me to rephrase so you can understand better.  The prices of groceries.  Make sense?

Mexico, Canada, and China don't export many eggs to the United States. Why are you crying about future egg prices?

Trump provides the permission structure for people to be devoid of critical thinking, instead replaced by “owning the libs”. This shithole takes full advantage of that paradigm.

Excellent use of tariffs to have an impact.  It will be rather easy for Mexico to step up and avoid these tariffs entirely, and I submit that they will do so.
