I’m as anti-woke as anyone on the planet.  I saw the movie.  Loved it.  Didn’t feel like I was being hit over the head by the woke stick at all.  It was an anti-bullying message.  Not because the witch was played by a black person.  She was focking green in the movie.  They actually did a good job keeping politics out of it.  Discrimination against animals isn’t controversial.  It’s intentionally dodging controversy by not discriminating against people.

However, it's budget was roughly 500 MILLION DOLLARS (prod + marketing).  It needs to make a 1.25 BILLION just to break even.  Has it made 1.25 BILLION worldwide yet?

There are TWO types of successes when dealing with movies: critical and commercial.  What you are hanging your hat on is a critical success.  Movie studios would rather have a commercial success.  Commercial success = profitable.

If it does not make money then "go woke, go broke" would apply. Currently at $599 million worldwide.  It sill needs at least 650 million to break even.  If we're being generous, then maybe $400 million.  No way it even gets to 1 billion, IMO.
