Did they ever decide where to put the Genesis?  Speculation here is that they might double dip TPC Scottsdale.

Has anyone asked Phil Collins his opinion?

I'm actually not sure if Phoenix/Scottsdale could survive two weeks of crazy golf partying!

I think I speak for all of us when we thank you for your lack of confidence in winning any money this season!  😜

@edjr

80 players in the field. What are you thinking? Draft 5 last round goes reverse order?

There must be a way to know how big these fields are before we select events, no? I know the sentry is what it is with a small draft but it seems more fun when we are drafting the designed 6

anywho, just a thought for next season.

Actually came here to mention I’ll be heading to AC tomorrow and back Tuesday. I’ll still be checking in but may not be as fast. Worst case Ed or fumble can text me 👍🏼

That’s the problem. All of the designated events outside of the majors are 80 player fields. We would need to play small events with no big names.

There must be some full field events that still have some star power

The Genesis Invitational golf tournament has a field size of around 70 players.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational field size varies by year, but is usually around 120 players.

The field size for the 2024 Memorial Tournament was expected to be around 70–80 players

The Players and majors will all have full fields, but the new way they do designated events makes it tough without doing multiple doubleheaders. We had three DH's last year and it felt like some were getting burnt out.

Other designated events this year

The RBC Heritage field size is 69 players.

According to the PGA Tour information, the field size for the Truist Championship, considered a Signature Event, has a minimum of 72 players

The Travelers Championship, a PGA Tour event, typically has a field size of around 70–72 players

We could swap in the WM Phoenix Open for the Genesis, which will apparently be played at some rando place.  Just sayin...

But what I was suggesting was finding events that are not designated.
This year the WMPO is not designated right? Looks to be around 120. So my question was, would a field like that be too watered down? And are there other similar events that enough big names attend where we are like t have to do double headers?
maybe not. Idk.
